Not true at all. He didn’t do anything for Kawhi that Kawhi hadn’t already earned outright himself. Many athletes would be much better served without an Uncle Dennis pimping them out for self centered reasons.

He's someone who Kawhi trusts

Agreed. That’s why it’s so shameful what he did to him for his own profit.

What did he do that was shameful?

Cost Kawhi a year of his prime and over $100 million in career earnings so far to get him to move away from two franchises who did nothing but the best by him and won titles with him for. Not sure how anyone who is familiar with the Uncle Dennis story could view him as anything other than a pimp.

Kawhi won another title and will earn even more because of it. He's a solid brand that was being hidden in the Alamo.

He wasn’t hidden in SA or Toronto and so far his decision to leave both has left an excess of over $100 million on the table simply to appease Uncle Dennis the Pimp.

Back when he was with the Spurs just got a bad taste in my mouth. Like same old story where relative screws player.

His star was nowhere near as bright as it is now. He'll make more money in LA than he would have in Toronto because of taxes.

Oh that’s right. Now I remember the story. He caused all sorts of issues with the Spurs.

Self consciously, I thought maybe you guys finally figured out how to spell my name correctly and added the Uncle as a derogatory slight.

Are you going to buy the District 105 Directv Package and watch Mrs. Green teach third graders how to do long division?

How about a bookie taking bets on whether Jenny can ace her history exam?

Kids watch people play video games and do other things for hours. I'm confident there is a market for it.

Everyone knows Jenny was up all night and didn't study. Smart money is on F.

Veteran safety Glover Quin announced his retirement last week, but he doesn’t need to find another job if he doesn’t want to.

Quin told Peter King for this week’s Football Morning in America that he has saved 70 percent of his after-tax income. Quin made about $33 million in his NFL career, so even living on 30 percent of his income, he was more comfortable than most, but he didn’t throw money away on the kinds of things that cause some professional athletes to go broke.

“That was all a part of the plan,” Quin said. “I never had a Bentley. I never had a Maserati. My wife and I lived well. We just didn’t live extravagantly. My attitude was, if you sacrifice a little bit in your twenties, you can live great for the rest of your life. And by doing that, I could walk away without thinking right now, ‘I gotta play one more year because I really need that extra $2 million.’”

Quin was known as a smart player on the field, but he may be smarter off the field, and his example would be a good one for other players to follow.

All kidding and sarcasm aside, I absolutely believe that to be the case. Our discussions on private schools and travel sports revealed that many times over. We may have different takes but both want the same outcome.

I moved out four weeks after finishing my undergrad work. First job paid $22k per year. Boy I don’t miss those days.

Quin's got nothing on our guy Deng

But the Sudanese-born Deng is not waiting for the end of his playing days for his next big score. He’s been investing in real estate almost since the time he entered the league in 2004 and has amassed an impressive portfolio—hotels, resorts, condos and apartment buildings—worth $125 million.

He should have about 12 mil banked. At 4% a year, his income stream would be about half a mil annually.

Good for him.

Point being is if these guys invested half of their first's years pay from a two comma contract, they wouldn't have to worry about money ever again.

Can someone tell these guys that when they sign the big deal, just take 10 mil and put it away and never touch it. Then if they get broke, at least they got 10 mil in the bank to life out the rest of their lives. that means live modestly.

While there were Poles among the group in the Jamestown Colony in 1609, it took about three hundred more years for my forefathers to decide that fending off wolves from invading the village every night was no way to live. Still, even after more than 100 years in the new world, I steal soap and shampoo from the hotel, just in case the bad times return.
