Fields was asked to run the ‘Y’ or ‘Y cross’ (go watch tape of the Nebraska game) which involves reads coming from one side of the field all the way to the other side of the field. He’d get into 4th and 5th reads all the time. Haskins and some of the other QB’s from OSU were never asked to run this type of offense under Meyer and Tressell.
