They really should redo the draft so the top picks only go to good teams.

I think it's pretty clear they've quit on Gase.

It's still funny to think how upset people were that Gase got away instead of being the heir apparent to the Bears head coaching job.

Drafts in every sport are a joke. They never should have been started. So what if the Eagles would have folded because their idiot owner guessed wrong before the Great Depression.

How should it be done then ?

I believe Irish Boy's idea was to let the player choose where to sign but give the teams more or less money to sign rookies based on the record of the previous season.

Trevor Lawrence can go to the defending champ but he'll make $3 million a year or he can go to the Jets and make $25 million a year.

I don't know about a disparity that large, but it's better than the draft.

A part of me would die if I couldn’t watch the NFL draft any more.

Put it on TV like college football signing day then. Try not to let anything leak about where people are signing. You can fire up some rivalries.

I hear what you’re saying, but I’m good with the way it is.

I don’t really think we need Alabama and Clemson situations happening in pro sports.

Plus that scenario would absolutely destroy smaller market teams.

But the draft dooms the kids to historically bad franchises and miserable cities like Cincinnati, Jacksonville and Green Bay.

The Jets can turn it around pretty quick if they're smart. The main issue there is Gase so once he's gone things are instantly better. The have a ton of cap room and 2 1st rounders. They can probably get a 2nd for Darnold. Williams was a good pick they aren't using him right. Bienemy would probably take the job with the #1 pick.

The problem there is ownership and long term mismanagement. That's not changing.

The problem there is much more garbage general managers. If Douglas is any good and they hit on their next HC they'll turn it around pretty quick.

RR is right here....their problems go well beyond Adam Gase

And I didn't realize that Rex Ryan has the most playoff wins in team history until I saw that chart. Oof.

Do you think those cities should have their professional football teams revoked?
