Tom Coughlin was at BC before taking the Jacksonville job. I'd say he did pretty alright for himself in the NFL.

Also, Bill Walsh

Harbaough and Dennis Green.

It's almost like the NFL has better teams and talent than the NCAA does. Who woulda thought.

Pete Carroll doesn't count as a college coach who was successful in the NFL as he had 2 NFL head coaching jobs before going to USC.

I don't follow the Jags closely, so from afar/out of town stupid, I assume Khan is probably frustrated as hell. He seems to want to be successful. He's thinking I drafted what's supposed to be a generational superstar at QB, I pair him with a famous college coach, I've got three promising-ish WRs (including pre-injury Chark) and a surprisingly good/above average RB, things are looking up. Then Meyer gets a God complex, Chark gets injured and Lawrence decides to suck. Now you're 2-11 or whatever and thinking wtf did I do wrong.

I dont see the problem with him.

Give the guy a chance. Just because he's next to a lady at a college bar makes him a bad guy?

It's been nothing but a smear campaign.

Give him a fuckin chance and stop fucking him over all the time.

No he's not. He simply caved into cancel culture. He's a dumbfuck.

He's been tryin to publicly support Meyer this whole time, but unfortunately the media keeps on building a smear campaign against Meyer just because he was next to a lady at an Ohio college bar.

Big whoop.

i don't even care about the dumb frat boy shenanigans in the bar. he's a shitheap of a person and deserves the humiliation of being fired before even coaching one year in the NFL.

maybe he'll go back to flerda.

Don't forget Etienne as well, who was lost for the season early. I think he has star ability

Urban Meyer's a bad guy for enabling Aaron Hernandez and setting Hernandez on the trajectory that resulted in Aaron's and other people's deaths. Meyer's a bad guy for the assorted fuckery he covered up for while at Ohio State. Meyer's a bad coach for publicly throwing assistant coaches and his players under the bus when things didn't go well at Jacksonville. I don't know what the situation is with Meyer's wife and him macking on girls a decade younger than his daughter. Seems a bit off the reservation to me; I guess if she's cool with it, no harm. But I imagine she'd rather he not put their lifestyle on blast like that (if that's what it is).

Is that the shortest NFL coaching head coaching career ever (not counting interim coaches)? I have to imagine the owner will attempt to void the rest of the contract based on firing Meyer "for cause."

It has to be a bit, SS. "Cancel culture caused Meyer's firing" is not a take you will see a lot of.
