That wasn't even Eli's best play in Super Bowl history. The best throw Eli ever made in his life was Manning to Manningham in Superbowl XLVI on their game-winning drive. I do not think Eli was an NFL great in terms of overall production, he WAS a perfectly average QB most of the time, but those two remarkable playoff runs and Super Bowl MVP's will easily get him in the Hall of Fame.

I have always said that if I could pick the prototype style QB I would want to lead my franchise, it would be a Big Ben type. That fucking guy just stood back there like a statue with chaos all around him, guys hanging on his back, and delivered the football. Yes, his best days are way behind him, but when he was at his best I loved watching him stand in there like a boss and throw the ball. You can keep all the new running scrambling QB bullshit, give me a guy that hangs in there, looks over the field and delivers the ball.

That was dope too. But the play I'm talking about was dramatic. The dude was toast. He was in the clutches of the defense. He was being swallowed alive only to escape and launch that bullet to Tyree. Spectacular

The best HOF argument is between Stafford and Eli, assuming Stafford doesn't win the Super Bowl before he retires.

Would you rather have Eli or Stafford? Eli delivered two Super Bowl rings and he was important in them. Stafford had elite regular season numbers but not much of anything in the playoffs. If Stafford wins the Super Bowl, then do it with Kirk Cousins.

Personally, I think if you are a qb who wins two Super Bowls you deserve to get in unless you were meaningless to the success.
