Ha! Pass! I think I read that the Bears have 8 former Vikings on the team.

Ben Goessling
@BenGoessling
Got thinking about this, as the #Vikings have about $973K in cap space, per NFLPA records.

Top cap hits on the Vikings' books:

1. Kirk Cousins: $31.4M
2. Dead money: $25.6M
3. Eric Kendricks: $13.5M
4. Danielle Hunter: $12.4M
5. Dalvin Cook: $11.9M
6. Adam Thielen: $11.7M

The Vikings are notorious for losing to back-up QBs. I think this game might come down to a field goal and the heat in Miami.

Dolphins 17 Vikings 14.

Vikings knocked Miami rookie QB out and played a decent defensive game minus a late TD when they were up by 14.

Anytime you win on the road in the NFL, it's a good win. 5-1 is a nice start and they have the Cardinals at home next week.

The Offense and Cousins needs to get better and the defense needs to get much, much better.

Kevin O’Connell already has more wins than Dan Campbell

And a way more talented roster.

Very true...She was just making fun of the fact that O'Connell won more games in 6 games than Campbell has in 22 games. It has to be hard to be a Lions fan.

Agreed on all counts. But I'm glad to see your team with a two game lead already.

Thanks. The NFC is down so we might have a chance to win a playoff game this year. I'd hate to see us get there and lose a 5th Super Bowl although it would poetic justice if the Bills beat the Vikings to win their first.

Vikings in the big game? Inclined to say no. You all start hot sometimes then get really boring and predictable. The fact that the Bears had you down late in the fourth is a HUGE red flag. But at the same time the NFC is wide open this year...all the recent giants suck and have been replaced by the actual Giants who at 5-1 or whatever still suck (at least on offense). So who knows. But y'all don't deserve it if it happens - that's not a SB team imo.

@AllPurpedOut
Darren Wolfson on the Scoops session on Skor North said keep an eye on the Vikings potentially trading for a "KJ Hamler, Brandin Cooks" esque WR who can stretch the field, he says he's in the process of checking if the Vikings are interested in Brandin Cooks specifically

Another ho-hum victory. I will take it. The only team that they've lost to is the only undefeated team left. I'm still not saying that the Vikings are good, but they are winning.

It's the NFC 2022. After 8 weeks, Marcus Mariota is in 1st place in the NFC South, Geno Smith is likely to finish the day in sole possession of 1st in the NFC West and the vaunted Dallas D just had 29 put on it by a team not necessarily trying to win.

Yep. Saved by a muffed punt. Luckiest team in the conference.

Don't say that, I need him. I've tried to trade for Mattison and thus unreasonable fuck won't capitulate.

The Vikings are in a competitive rebuild and are 6-1. They fired the GM that put this team together. That shows you where they set the bar.

Not trying to troll, Augie, but I really want someone to kick this team's ass. For me they're so fake and lucky. Escaping at the end of games which results in a padded win loss record. Looking forward to them being exposed. Arizona had these guys beat - they just had to muff a punt inside the 20 which was the equivalent of cousins completing a bomb to put them in the red zone. Of course if they represent the NFC in the SB then this post will likely get me ridiculed forever.

No worries. I get it. No one picked the Bengals to make it through a much tougher AFC last year and they did. The NFC this year is much weaker. Not predicting they will even win a playoff game at this point. I'm just hoping they don't collapse completely in the regular season and back into the the playoffs. Hard to see anyone else winning the NFC North, but stranger things have happened.
