The people who get the big payday in class action cases are the lawyers. Entrepreneurial lawyers often create a case and then go shopping for an aggrieved person. It's not what we traditionally think where a person is injured and seeks representation. I have a sneaking suspicion that is what happened here.

I'm sympathetic to Flores to an extent. I think he's a really good Football coach. The case also points out an obvious issue with the NFL. I do question Flores timing and the lawyers he chose to pursue this. It could and should have been handled better.

What this tells me is that Flores lawsuit prevented the Texans from hiring Josh McCown as head coach.

It’s seemed that way all along. The text of the suit had almost nothing to do with Flores, outside of the three anecdotes, two of which had nothing to do with the underlying point.
