I wouldn't be upset if Poles traded Fields for Lamar Jackson. At least I wouldn't have to wonder if the quarterback was elite or tough enough to play in the cold.

I think Lamar is soft AF, no thanks.

He has no help, it's criminal. Their main WR free agent signing actually made the group worse. That's hard to do.

Justin Fields is a vegan who doesn't know how to hydrate himself, and he has missed a lot of games.

I heard a question on the radio today and it made some sense. Can Carolina trade the #1 pick straight up for Lamar? Clearly there would be (presumed) value to both teams.

I don't think they have the cap room to make it happen. The Bears could do a Justin for Lamar swap. They do have the cap room.

They have over $27K this season, $86K next and $169K in 2025. That is more than enough to meet his demands.

$32.4 million / 17 games = $1,905,882.35 per game

$1,905,882.35 / 60 minutes = $31,764.70 per minute of game time

$31,764.70 / 60 seconds = $529.42 per second of game time

$27K this season = 51 SECONDS OF LAMAR

$86K next = 2 MINUTES 42 SECONDS OF LAMAR

$169K = 5 MINUTES 20 SECONDS OF LAMAR

I think a team like Carolina with a single high draft pick would trade that #1 overall for multiple lower 1st round picks to send to B'More as comp. Otherwise, you'd have to send the 1st overall this year (or whatever 1st round pick the team has) and next year's 1st round pick, whatever it ends up being, iirc.

Unsurprising nobody wants to cough up that much draft capital for a run-first QB who has missed half the games over the last 2 seasons.

I'm just saying I've seen Fields get up and continue playing after some huge hits, I don't think you can question his toughness... he is tough.

Yep. Too bad he won't get a big contract after his rookie deal because his skills are being devalued. I mean look what happened to Austin Ekeler.

I'm still pissed that my Saints didn't draft the guy when they had a chance.

But what Harbaugh did yesterday was emasculating in so many ways. He knows the ton of bricks comes down on him. Almost happened until Lamar saved his job before.

Edit: And I'm so glad Atlanta is being Atlanta dumb because their owners are apparently getting Michael Vick nightmares :D

Michael Wilbon thought Justin Fields wasn't worth keeping about 3 months ago.

Not too far back he said the Lakers would have to be near perfect to get in the NBA play-in contention. They're in it now 5 >.500 in March. He admitted he blew it and had a good laugh. The guy is passionate and a must listen.

I could see the Colts offering Lamar a contract after the draft. That way they get to trade down this year ir draft a top 5 guy and give up two firsts the nextc2cseasons when they are picking in the 20's.

The Colts have Jonathan Taylor, but they don't have anyone who can stretch the field or is comparable to Andrews.

Pittman, Pierce and Campbell is a gell of a WR cast. Campbell is fast AF.

I like Campbell too, but he just went to the Giants. Pittman is more of a possession WR, and the jury is still out on Pierce because he didn't have a quarterback last year.

Yep . owners/football teams sign someone to a ridiculous contract , it’s what the market will bear. Owner/teams dont to sign a player to a ridiculous contract it’s collusion.

I don't think the issue is that he hasn't been signed. It's that there has been zero interest in a recent MVP who is still in his prime at the most important position in sports. Maybe there just aren't any teams in need of a QB.

Pre-Watson there would be plenty of interest.

Correction, there just isn’t much interest in a MVP player from 4 years ago who has been injured the last 2 seasons and hasnt played all that great when he has been healthy who wants a ridiculous amount of guaranteed money ( and will cost the team draft picks) because some other idiot team signed a player to a ridiculous contract who isnt worth it either .

Harbaugh has won a SB with Flacco, he knows their team is Run first and defense.. I don't think he's remotely close to being on the hot seat.
