That's gotta be a bitch for him.

He'll comeback next year. No way he wants to go out this way. He will not retire.

Old diminished skills QB gets hurt. He was looking to be better than 17th ranked this year. He won't have that chance.

And yet the Bills still couldn’t win.

Good thing the Packers exercised their leverage and got a nice return for him in the big trade.

2nd round pick for a HOF quarterback is certainly a nice return.

Especially considering they could have gotten at least 3 first round picks the year before. Thanks Gute!

Yeah, that Jets defense is nasty.

Serves the Jets right, though....they should have stuck with the traditional white helmet with logo. That 80's green helmet is lame. Karma.

I liked the return to the 80's look - was that a permanent move by the Jets, or just a alternate? It was a nice surprise to see. I am looking forward to the Eagles throwing back to the kelly green's later this year too, the Eagles current green color has never quite looked right to me.

Wouldve been really interesting last year to see what kind of stats for the game the great Nathan Peterman wouldve ended up with against them had he not gotten injured after he lit them up in the first quarter despite no one being open, his receivers being bad and having no time to throw .

Except that no GM in his right mind trades a guy coming off of 2 MVP seasons.

The Bears plan of "we don't have to get better everyone else just has to get worse" is off to a great start.

Did he or did he not he not have a bad 38th year of life at his job? What is the guy getting that kind of dough off a bad year worth trade wise? I certainly wouldn't give the Packers a first rounder.

The Vikings may need a quarterback

If they could have got a better deal, they would have.

You've said it. Father Time is undefeated... and Cheeseland is feeling pretty good about themselves this morning.

We got a 2nd round pick for a guy that was never gonna play for us again and people think it was a bad trade because he got hurt and it wasnt a 1st

Anyway, the pick was for insurance in case we needed to find a QB next year. It certainly looks like we found one this past week, so pick is house money anyway

It's more mocking the idea that the Packers had some extreme leverage in a situation they will ultimately end up with one second round pick where the 49ers, with literally no leverage, got a 4th round pick for a guy who probably is going to be out of the league soon.

Oh, I realize I was dunking on the Bears as well. The difference is that Chase Claypool may be out of the league this year, and Rodgers is a future HOF. Yet the great Gute is only going to get pick #40 in return. Outstanding!

It is officially official now.

Poor Jets. Even Belichick was with them for a longer time.

They got more than a 2024 2nd-rounder - they also moved up quite a bit to get the jets 2023 2nd rounder, and got an extra 2023 pick in round 6. Whether those 2 extra picks turn into anything is open to speculation, but from what I have read the TE they took at 42 this year could be decent. drafting a kicker at 207 is admittedly weird but who knows.

So a second round pick, a higher second round pick, and a 6th rounder in exchange for a HOF quarterback.

Leverage

I understand you chose a strange time to bump a trade discussion negotiation that got undeniably worse for the Packers but "Don't forget they got a kicker in round 6 from it!" is a strange argument.

They swapped picks that were 2 or 3 picks apart.
