Trevor Lawrence has accomplished slightly more in his short career than Justin Fields. It's amazing the pass he's gotten it seems.

Chargers and Rams are in the yes category. Im pretty sure Miami is in the no category, most of the discussion around them is how to get Mike McDaniel his own Stafford.

Colts are sort of in their own category but it sounds like they really like AR.

The Jets are in the yes category, if they should be is a separate question.

The Hawk says that Fields will be All-Pro next season, so I guess that means the Bears are a yes as well.

Yeah I don't get it. He is going to sign a Daniel Jones like cap killing contract and he hasn't done shit.

Daniel Jones signed maybe the most team-friendly "4-year" deal ever. He is only guaranteed through next year, though there will be roughly 20m of dead cap the following year. The Giants can cut the cord with him relatively quickly.

It was still a terrible contract and 20 million of dead cap space isn't "nothing"

Indiana and San Diego are not teams that exist.

GB is obviously happy with Love.

Philly is obviously unhappy with Hurts this year.

Washington doesnt have a QB so idk what you are waiting and seeing on

New Orleans was actively dragged backwards by their QB this year

Are you suggesting the eagles are trying to move hurts now? If you're in wait and see mode it doesn't necessarily mean you're unhappy with your QB. After a playoff win it's likely GB promotes love to "we're set" status.

There is a conversation in Washington if the should continue to see what Howell can do. It's not the conversation id have but it's being had.

I don't have an issue with your NO criticism

No there isn't. Washington is going to draft whoever doesnt go 1.01 between Caleb and Maye, one of those two QBs will be their QB next year, not Howell

I dont think there will be a clear upgrade available and Hurts contract fucks things up, so Hurts will be back next year, but I guarantee Howie Roseman doesnt think they are set at QB for the rest of the decade after what Hurts put on film this year.

Justin Herbert is 30-32 in four years, no playoff wins and still has another year before his 262 million dollar extension officially kicks in.

i think the bears will select harrison at #1, and trade down their 2nd pick, and harrison will get a season ending injury by week 3, and fields will also get injured.

The issues are deeper than just Hurts. The OC leaving screwed things up and despite all their issues they still were a top three scoring team prior to their late season collapse. They ended up around 7 in points. That's still a potent offense once they resolve their issues, including overhauling the entire coaching staff which is in play. No way they're rethinking hurts only one year after a SB appearance.

30-32 is not old for a QB and even that's still years away

Those are just excuses. Love had the youngest offense in NFL history around him this year, and he brought them to the playoffs despite having a bottom 10 defense. Then he went out and kicked the 2 seed's ass on the road. Great QBs dont need excuses or for everything to be perfect around them. Hurts does.

Sure, I was just highlighting that it is pretty escapable compared to some. He did not truly get a 4-year $160 million fully guaranteed albatross contract, he likely is on his way out of town after next year.

Lol you are using this categorization as a way to elevate love at the expense of hurts. The quarterback that deserves the most credit for delivering the 9-8 Packers to the playoffs is Kirk Cousins. Let's just talk about hurts for now without referencing your pro love agenda. I'd agree hurts deserves some blame for the collapse but the collapse is not limited to hurts performance. The team acquired swift then failed to use him effectively, the defense as discussed totally collapsed, and the numerous culture issues undercut team morale. This is why the coach should be fired. Hurts did not overnight become a bad quarterback. Despite these issues, he finished 12th overall in QBR and 4th in EPA. This is after finishing 4th in QBR last year and 3rd in EPA. For a 25 or 26 year old whatever he is, that's pretty good and not indicative of buyer's remorse as you're suggesting.

You think Conns isn't sure exactly how old Herbert will be in four years?

Actively is the key word. There was no reason for them to go out and get Carr except for the (now looking even more real) conspiracy theory of turning the Saints into the Raiders. You already had a QB that was either at his level or slightly +/- but still didn’t have to spend money to find out. Now you’re stuck with a bad QB who no one else will want.

This is Steve Walsh all over again, just in a different era. He even wears the same number.
