18 times in the last 25 years NFL teams and their fans came out of draft day after selecting a QB 1/1 thinking We're goin' to the Super Bowl! and not one of those teams who drafted a QB 1st overall has won a Super Bowl with that QB.

3 teams have had the joy of losing a Super Bowl with their 1/1 QB.

Bryce Young ever gets anywhere near the playoffs or wins a Super Bowl it will be with a team not owned by David Tepper.

Burrow might still get it done; but he could also end up retiring early due to his chronic injury issues, like Luck. Or the Bengals make the Super Bowl with Burrow injured on the sidelines while Jake Browning QB-cucks his way to a Super Bowl, a la Earl Morrall and Bob Griese.

I guess nobody should draft a quarterback.

More busts than HOFers on that list and way more flash-in-the-pan success than consistent stardom.

35 Super Bowl appearances. No other pick comes close to this level of success.

Yeah true but you take your best stab at an HoF QB. It is the single most important thing to an NFL football team.

Agreed. And for the record I would take Caleb. I also think he will be the 3rd best QB in the North next season.

Did the NFL move him into a division with Mahomes and Burrow?

No.. he's basically Jay Cutler. He's never going to win shit, he's good enough to start and will turn the ball over too many times.

Young - USFL - no combine - Listed at 6'2" actually 6', according to his Mormoning stories.

Jimmy Mac was probably around 6'1", think he might've been pre-combine measurement draftee?

Joe Theismann looks mad short, but he was def pre-combine measurements.

I imagine the first handful of Super Bowl winning QB's (Starr, Namath, Griese) were around 6'1" but no combine measurements back then. Entire league back then under-sized by today's standards.

Yeah true but you take your best stab at an HoF QB. It is the single most important thing to an NFL football team.

Agreed. And for the record I would take Caleb. I also think he will be the 3rd best QB in the North next season.

Yeah that's the tough thing for the Bears, even if Caleb is good he is very unlikely to ever be better than Love.

When did Jared Groff become a QB great?

If given decent odds, I would wager that C-Will will put up better numbers than Love next season.

Did somebody say that? He has been pretty good but certainly not great. That said, I don't expect a rookie to come in and outperform him. Guys like Stroud are an anomaly.

If you are asking for decent odds, then you are acknowledging that you believe Love will be better. That's your best QB thought in a while though.

That means you should offer me 20-1 odds and allow me to set $200 on fire. We would be talking about not only UNPRECEDENTED production from a rookie quarterback but a Bears quarterback breaking records.

Here's what I suggest. Love is +4000 for offensive player of the year and Williams is +10000. Make the odds 2.5-1.

How do we factor in the Bears historic suckage at the quarterback position and the Packers breeding HoF quarterbacks?

The numbers are the numbers. A TRUE BELIEVER wouldn't even need odds.
