Yeah I cant believe anyone would vote for either one, but they are like top 5 or 6 I think in total yds and I was just trying to cover every possible candidate without the option Other, and the only person I might have missed maybe is Gale Sayers.

Watched him warm up/stretch in Bourbonnaise from about 10 feet away. Holy sh*, that dude's guns were the size of my A**!

I suspect he has a bad lower back as the set of stretches/exercises he did there, a few months later, was prescribed to me in PT for lower back problems.

I didn't even read the other choices and immediately chose Barry. I think the Bus and Martin belong on a list of 10.

Not too much Emmit love... I personally think he may be the most underrated RB of all time. The injured game against the Giants could stack up against Youngblood and anyone in NFL history in terms of incredible performances.

I think his line was way too good for him to ever get a ton of recognition.

Thankfully, I can say that the best running back I saw in person was Walter Payton. I was in attendance at Soldier Field when Sweetness broke Jim Brown's all-time rushing record.

Sweetness is the hands down best of all-time because I never saw anyone play the game as hard he played it. Sweetness had the ability to either run around you or he could run over you. And if he did that, he made you pay for it. I saw an episode of NFL Films dedicated to Sweetness where they spent a whole segment on how tough he was, how he hurt people when he hit them and how punishing of a blocker he was. He was as complete a football player as I have ever seen and I don't think I ever will again.

Of course I'm biased as hell because I grew up watching him play for my team, but I will always feel that way.

If LT breaks the all-time rushing record, I think he will be the next to be given the title of greatest of all time. And he will deserve it, he's a special player.

Emmitt Smith is the most overrated running back of all-time. He was great, but he was not special. I was never impressed by anything he ever did while he was playing. I was however impressed that he just kept doing it. If Sweetness ran behind the offensive lines that Smith enjoyed for his entire career, Walter would have rushed for 20,000 yards before he retired....another reason I think Sweetness is the greatest. He didn't have a good offensive line in front of him until the last five years or so of his career.
