Is it possible that we could see two consecutive winless teams?

1. Cleveland Browns- Has the team already quit on him? Mangini is fining players $1,701 for a $3 bottle of water. Does the trade of Braylon Edwards suggest a white flag? You decide.
2.Tennessee Titans- Can this team stop anybody? Even David Garrard looked like an all-pro against them. Although, they do play St. Louis in week 14 so someone is guaranteed a win..check that...there still are ties in this league  )
3.Kansas City Chiefs- Are they having buyers remorse on the biggest dupe free agent signing of the decade in Matt Cassell? Larry Johnson looks like he is 50. They do play Cleveland in week 15 to add a little drama.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- They may have blown their only chance at a win last week against Washington as the rest of their schedule is brutal. at Miami, Carolina and at Seatle are their last hopes. They have already switched QB's as a last ditch effort to right this pirate ship.
5. St. Louis Rams- Where do you start with this team? No defense, not offense, no direction. Can they pull out a win? Potential wins are against Detroit, AZ, Seatle or Tennessee.
6. Nobody- It was a fluke last year and that in the NFL any team can beat anyone and we will never see that happen again.

So out of these O-fer teams so far, Tampa Bay is the only team that doesn't have at least one of the other teams on their schedule. Let the votes decide.

I cast my vote for the Cleveland Browns in large part because the Kevin James-looking Eric Mangini as head coach is the modern day Rich Kotite. Rich was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles & New York Jets back in the late '80s and was as clueless as Mangini is right now roaming the sidelines in Cleveland. They also appear to be way overmatched. Then again, you could say the same about the St. Louis Rams, even though the buck-toothed Michael Strahan gave rookie head coach Steve Spagnuolo an "endorsement" in Week 1 on "FOX NFL Sunday".

Why aren't the Lions a choice?

That would be because they have won a game already.

That's a good reason.
For this season, I'd go with the Rams.

Rams.

They've already been shutout twice, and been outscored something like 78-24 this season. They are god awful.

I agree. If the Chiefs did not get to play the Raiders again this season, I might go with them. NFL in Missouri blows.

I like the Bucs, and yeah their schedule is rough. Rams might win against Det or Hou but they are a bad football team.

Is it possible that you're giving Mangini a little too much credit? Kotite DID win a playoff game that Buddy couldn't IIRC.

Anyone want to change their vote to the Titans?

I went with the tits. If you look at them, not only are they bad, but they've look like they've lost all hope, like the Cubs had the past two post seasons.

I'm Shark-like positive that no team will go 0-16 this season.

FavreFan, I wonder if what happened in Detroit was indeed a fluke...Truth be told, the Lions should've been the Vikings not once, but twice last year. They outplayed them, but couldn't finish the deal in either game. Besides, Dan Orlovsky stepped out of the endzone in one of those games for a Minnesota safety...

It couldn't happen two years in a row, could it?

FavreFan, the Lions probably should've won BOTH games over the Vikings and probably their visit to Soldier Field a year ago as well. The Kurtwood Smith-looking Rod Marinelli and his Lions didn't finish any of those games, and should've won 3 last year. That's nothing special, but still pretty bad.

Well the Bucs somehow pulled a come from behind win against your Packs, FF but your constellation prize is that you were correct in your prediction of no team going 0-16 this year. Cheers to you and have a drink for me. Image

Well it will have to be next year because Cleveland beat Buffalo 6 to 3 already this year.
