If the Bills lose to Miami I'm selling all that Fitzpatrick stock I bought after Week 1

actually, to this point only 3 NBC sunday night games have featured an NFC East team, same as the NFC Central (including the opening win by the Packers that was a Thursday night special).

 The NFC East are almost always in Primetime. Monday night, Sunday night....We seem the NFC East teams just as much as we see the Bears.

Week 1 Dallas played SUN nite
Week 2 Philly played Sun nite, NYG played Mon nite
Week 3 Dallas played Mon nite
Week 8 Sun nite was Dallas @ Philly
Week 9 Philly played Mon nite

And we get so much more NFC east
Week 11 Sun nite Philly @Giants
Week 12 Mon nite NYG, Dallas on Thanksgiving
Week 13 Thurs nite Philly
Week 14 Sun nite NYG @Dallas
and finally, a merciful close to all of the NFC East bullshit, Week 15 Dallas SAT nite

 That whole division, keep it.

What do you expect, Frank Costanza? Broadcasting football games is a business, in which the primary goal is to make money. Statistics have shown conclusively that the NFC East is the most important and popular division in football, comparable to the American League East in baseball.

Let us face facts: the east coast is more important than the midwest. I could try to sugarcoat all of this for you, but I know that you appreciate brutal honesty. Have a great day!

Is there ever a week that the Jets or Giants are not on Sunday or Monday night? Sometimes New York City just needs to be told to fuck off. There are quite a few other cities in this country.

After looking over the schedule its not as many weeks as I thought but its still quite a few. I think there are only 2 weeks during the remaining season where they don't get a primetime game and that is without looking at thursday and without knowing the flex scheduling.

Your statement is factually accurate. There are literally thousands of other cities in the United States. For example, Jacksonville, Florida is a city, as is Houston, Texas, St. Paul, Minnesota, Denver, Colorado, et al.

The difference is that the National Football League and/or Major League Baseball could survive without franchises in these cities. These leagues could not, however, survive without franchises in New York City.

That is just a fact.

I agree. That doesn't mean we need to be force fed Eagles @ Giants football games on primetime every single goddam year.

I think Rich Eisen has awfully started his pregame show for "Thursday Night Football" between the Jets & Broncos tomorrow night on NFL Network, described by Brad Nessler, Mike Mayock & Alex Flanagan on the TV side. Ian Eagle, Trent Green & Laura Okmin paint the picture for the Westwood One call on 670 The SCORE tomorrow night as well.

As for what else we've got Sunday...

*"NFL on CBS" Doubleheader
Noon: Bengals/Ravens-Greg Gumbel & Dan Dierdorf
3:15p: Chargers/Bears-Jim Nantz & Phil Simms (Much to Mac's dismay)

"NFL on FOX"
Noon: Buccaneers/Packers-Joe Buck, Troy Aikman & Pam Oliver

"NBC's Sunday Night Football"
7:20p Eagles/Giants-Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth & Michele Tafoya

It seems very unusual that "Sunday Night Football" is in the same stadium 2 weeks in a row. Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth & Michele Tafoya watched the Patriots' undressing of the Jets last Sunday and will be there again this Sunday to watch the Eagles/Giants' game.

i don't know what it is with midwesterners all the time with the east coast hate. as long as they're good match ups, i don't care who's on.

the nfc east is down this year but the afc east has plenty of interest.

unfortunately, we're always going to be stuck with a lot of dallas games.

Like them or loathe them, the Cowboys are "America's Team" for a reason. Besides, I think they are going to be a factor in the NFC Easy derby down the stretch, especially with 1 more in Washington Sunday vs. the slumping Redskins, 1 more vs. the Eagles I think on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" and a pair with the Giants still to come.

If the NFC West wants to be a battle, Cardinals need to beat the 49ers, because a Cardinals win, 49ers could lose at least 2 in a row, going to play Baltimore on Thanksgiving.

That said, you get a Dolphins win this Sunday, and Thanksgiving could give 3 intresting games, with Packers at Lions, Dolphins at Cowboys, and 49ers at Ravens.

If the Cardinals beat the 49ers, Reents, it looks like Andrew "McLovin" Perloff's buddy Kevin Kolb won't be available for the second straight week due to a foot injury. John Skelton, no relation to Red, likely starts for the second straight game for Arizona.

Considering who the 'Boys are playing on Thanksgiving Day next Thursday, guys, that's a pretty safe bet.

Agreed. The ratings don't suffer if one or two particular teams suck.

The NFL is the one league that would be just fine without a team in the NYC. Parity, TV contracts, etc.

Bills and Lions are prime examples why you don't say teams are good or bad, til after 8 games. All the experts had both teams in the playoffs after 4 or 5 weeks, and now they both are really bad. Anyone with a brain knew this Bills thing wasn't real, and the Lions thing was lots of fluke comeback wins, that shouldn't of happened. Now they're all jumping on the Broncos bandwagon, that will soon crash. Once they start playing teams with actual QBs that can score points, so Tebow actual has to act like a NFL player.
