Fuck anyone who disagrees:

1. Inelligible Receivers: Anyone on the field should be able to catch a pass. Why limit how inventive offenses can be? Makes no sense at all.

2. Illegal Block In the Back: You should be able to block anyone anyway you want as long as you don't hold them. You don't want to be pushed in the back? Well, don't play football then, pussy.

3. Being able to score a TD if the ball "breaks the line". Why can't I catch a pass on the sideline as long as the ball is a centimeter on the field of play? You need two feet inbounds to do that, and you should need two feet in the endzone for a score.

4. This will be a running thread, I'll post more later if they come to me.

I've got no problems with chop blocks.

The OT rules are pretty dumb.

And the whole coach challenging system is dumb.

The whole "Securing the Football in the endzone" rule a/k/a the Megatron rule. Happened yesterday, too...

If the ball crosses the plain and is in possesion while doing so, a ground caused fumble shouldn't matter...

I understand why it exists, but I can't stand the "If you bobble the ball while reaching towards the pylon it's a touchback for the defense". The thing is barely a fumble and it is a guaranteed turnover but if you do it at the 1 yard line you get it there.

I wish they'd just say that the ball is spotted at the 10 yard line if that happens or something.

This happened in the Purdue/Iowa game and it ended the game rather than having them down 3 points with 2 minutes to go.

Illegal Formations: If the center and QB are lined up by themselves, that should be their right. If an offense wants to place 9 guys on the left or right side of the field, what's the big deal?

Whistling a play dead when a tackle hasn't been made: Why does the play stop when someone with the ball refuses to go down? It should continue until the man is down. It's his fault for refusing to go down, and the defense should be able to strip the ball away, or force him back for a loss. Why reward stuborness?

Forward progress. If they shove you back 15 yards, its your fault for not going down.

Good call. I would add that to the whistling the play dead post above, but great addition.

Why can't you throw the ball after you passed the line of scrimmage? I say, one forward pass per play.

The NFL rule that has been my pet peeve for as long as I can remember, is:
The ground cant cause a fumble.
Why not? Hold on to the football until the whistle blows.

The uniform police. If a guy wants to wear orange shoes or green gloves, he should be able to.

Why isn't every QB spike to stop the clock, intentional grounding? Isn't the QB still in the pocket, when he slams the pass into the ground?

I'd like to make another vote for illegal formation. Anyone should be allowed to line up anywhere behind the line of scrimmage.

This would only be possible if everyone were allowed to be an eligible receiver. Which would be chaos and nearly impossible to defend.

Everyone should be allowed to be an eligible receiver. The defense can line up anywhere they want, so why isn't the offense allowed the same?

Yeah, Urlacher should be allowed to wear a Yellow Helmet & Pants & a green jersey everytime the Bears play against Green Bay.

The NFL rule Scorehead hates the most isn't actually an NFL rule.

Why can't the kicking team advance the ball if they recover a muffed punt?

Because on a "muff" there was never official transfer of possession?

Can't you advance it if the ball just hits the receiving team?

I don;t know for certain, but I'd guess no?

Otherwise, "in theory", a punter/Qb/anybody could just blast a quick-punt off of an opposing player and advance it at any time. And then all of a sudden you'd have a game of rugby or some other crappy thing like that.
