I don't know if you can say that any more. It may have been true a few years ago. The Jets tried to tell everyone just how bad he was in practice. The Patriots seem to share that opinion and the training camp reports are just as bad.

The story was that Tebow actually thought the reason he didn't play as well as he wanted was that he was too small so he worked on getting bigger and stronger. It did not work. The Jets were supposedly shocked at how poor he was at playing quarterback when he showed up for training camp. He got his shot to compete but it wasn't even a possibility.

I guess he could have gotten decidedly worse since he played for Denver. I'm not sure how, but it's possible.

my feeling is that it's more because of the fanfare surrounding him. no one wants to listen to all the sqwuaking for a backup quarterback. but i don't know why jacksonville didn't go for him. what do they really have to lose?

Bradford can't throw the ball over 10 yards and he can't scramble.

Some team may have a "come to Jesus" meeting with him and he agrees to give in and accept that tight end is what his future will be.

Very shortsighted statement. Tebow has one, and that is all he will ever have. Right now Bradford has zero, but thats not to say he can't get at least one over the course of his career.

I'm emphasizing that Sam Bradford is a terrible QB. Tebow deserves a shot. He was the king of the 4th quarter comebacks. It's unfortunate that with a team that is going nowhere in Jacksonville they would rather give away free beer than sign Tebow.

I read the post as implying Bradford, despite being better than Tebow, will never make the playoffs as a starting QB. Therefore, he will retire with a better career than Tebow, but [exactly] one less playoff one than him.
