I tell you what, since they got Cooper, they have been playing pretty well. Dallas and the Bears should thank Oakland.

Like I hope Chairman Kim successfully targets Dallas.

Bears should be scared of these guys?

Except they were at home against Dallas for that.

Had a bad feeling about this game coming in, but I really get sick of watching the Saints just forget how to play offense with these big games. Suddenly the Cowboys are the Legion of Boom.

And they were 13-0

It definitely feels like they were coming into that “they’re due for a loss” game I just hate seeing it come against Dallas with Reverend Kane lapping it up.

This game will probably end 30-23 with the last touchdown being garbage time to put up late meaningless stats for Brees.

The Saints don't necessarily have an easy schedule the rest of the way. The could lose that bye.

And the saints can’t blame this on normal Thursday bullshit. Both teams played on last Thursday.

i don't think they're blaming anything. they gave dallas credit and look at themselves from what i've read.

but i've seen this over and over again, most recently in 2013 against the seahawks. whenever the saints are no longer the hot team, they stall big time.

the problem they're going to have is that the other 2 top teams aren't going to have more than 4 losses, and the saints still have 2 games against the panthers and a game against the steelers.

the saints will never win a superbowl going on the road. and if they miss out on the #1 seed, i don't see them doing anything but biding their time again just to lose in a divisional or NFC championship round again.

brees should accept some of the blame here for choking again in the end (he did the same thing against the falcons last year); but this again to me is on payton. they didn't take the cowboys seriously. the saints defense played outstanding but the offense was totally befuddled. when you say something like "we just couldn't find a rhythm" you just outed yourself as a fraud. great teams win by either forcing a rhythm or finding a 2nd gear to fight tooth and nail to win.

if they don't put up 40+ on the bucs next week and get their swagger back, i see another very quick post season for them. and it'll probably be their last.

I had one click to book the flight and everything, had a whole sack of coal all ready. You got lucky Payton.

The Bucs really didn't want to win that game.

I watched a really interesting documentary on Jonestown. After the miserable start.

dallas manhandled this team, but the saints really should've pulled away bigger against the panthers. kuechly had a game, but as i said in the NFL gameday thread, payton's playcalling was absurd down the stretch. at times when you needed to sustain a drive, you feed the beast with ingram and put in a healthy dose of kamara. instead, he kept putting it on brees to do his Breesus thing. it cost them the 2 point conversion, and it gave up another turnover.

when you're playing stifling defenses, you have to punch them in the mouth. ingram has proven he can do that. and he was sitting on the sidelines for a lot of the second half. that's inexcusable.

payton should know by now what the blueprint is to win. in 2009 he had bush, thomas, and bell. he used them to establish rhythm. last night it felt like he was trying to show off Brees MVP(tm) and it didn't work at all. especially...since your fucking o-line was completely decimated!

so i'm hoping the "dome sweet dome" comes into effective. steelers aren't chumps. they're playing for a lot too. close this out and rest everybody, guys.

The secondary was exposed but the offense did wake up. I think they have a good path to rest players and come into the divisional round ready to get revenge on the cowboys.

I actually feel better now than I have this entire season.

After reading the 2019 schedule breakdown on NOLA.com I’m convinced this is setting up for a letdown year. It’s like coming into the 2007 season. And they’ll be playing the AFC South so it fits.

The hype will be a “revenge” year because of the NFC Championship but I’m pretty sure they aren’t going to even come close to that again. With Brees’ last year the story will just be heartache and another question about whether he will want to do one more year. I also am seeing some but injuries like Kamara and an offense that underperforms. To cap it off I bet the defense actually plays decent.

But we’ll always have 2009.

Cubs fan in you coming out there. 2009 and 2016 haven’t fixed that. Theyre very deep in both sides of the ball and have a good coach. If you give Brees a below average defense or better he will get you 9-10 wins and their defense will be fine. Murray and Cook additions were solid.

It's honestly one of the funniest plays I've ever seen in sports. I wouldn't feel that way if I was a Saints fan obviously.

The best part was the DB saying afterwards he only did it to prevent the TD and he was as shocked as everyone else at the non-call

Oh yeah.

The downside is that because the Saints are a bunch of crybabies, fucking pass interference is now reviewable...ugh

 C'mon Boyd.

I'm not a bigfan of the Saints either, but its egregious to miss a call like that in the playoffs.
