Shoulder pads, rib pads and a different angle on the lower body can add quite a few pounds. His arms look the same. If he got that fat his arms would be huge too.

You'll know whether it matters or not when he gets on the field.

I just watched that video. I'll give you that doesn't look as bad. But, he's got to be 250 and he's like 5'10" right?

No one out of GB camp seems concerned. I like a player coming in with some poundage on him to burn off in camp. You are going to be busting your ass there in the heat so you can stay in shape but be looser with what you eat and come in a little heavy knowing you will burn it off. His job is to be a big strong bruiser. I don't want him shredded coming into camp I want him game ready coming out of camp.

You know this how, because of all of the NFL games he has played so far?

Just think how good he would have been had he gone to Oregon and run behind one of the all time greats in Kyle long. Best 5 games rushing in NCAA history without a doubt.

I would bet I have seen 15 of his games, if not more, over the past two years....the NFL seemed to be in agreement with me on draft day.

So, is this true with all Alabama running backs?

He's not fat. Its just bad angles and weird stage lighting.

No. TJ Yeldon is the real deal.

Lacey was the second best back on the team, just as he was the second best back the pack drafted this year.

Knock it off. This is between Hawger and the other guy.

Just saying. She's been around forever but I don't even think she's 30 yet. I'll log out of this one.

MM said he has no concern at all about him. His conditioning is fine, passed his tests with no problem and is doing everything they ask of him. There are other pics of him at camp and he looks fine as he did in that video. I believe they said he weighed 238. He isn't small by any means but that pic made him look like he was pushing 3 bills.

Those 3 yards he will be required to run are going to be fine.

We?

I know it because, similar to Lacey, I have watched the majority of his games as a college player.

Eddie Lacey will be a short yardage specialist back in this league. Little speed with no shake. Straight line runner who runs high ( :drunken: ).

You don't think Lacey compares with Richardson?

No, and neither does the rest of the league, including the Packers.

I don't think he projects to an every down back. Look at his numbers at Alabama. The guy got weaker as the game went on. His YPC dipped in each quarter. The more carries he got each year, the more his efficiency dipped. He isn't fast. He doesn't have great work habits. He has already had a hamstring injury.

It seems to me he is best paired with a fast back, where you bring him in for 1st quarter carries to wear down the D and on short yardage plays.
