I don't think he projects to an every down back. Look at his numbers at Alabama. The guy got weaker as the game went on. His YPC dipped in each quarter. The more carries he got each year, the more his efficiency dipped. He isn't fast. He doesn't have great work habits. He has already had a hamstring injury.

It seems to me he is best paired with a fast back, where you bring him in for 1st quarter carries to wear down the D and on short yardage plays.

Fatty is killing it. Last week 23 for 99 vs Lions and yesterday shreds Baltimore for 120 on 23. Upcoming Browns game will have Fatty go against another great defense. If he has another solid game then I'll be a believer.

Hardly. That was some of the worst tackling I have seen in a long time. He was not making anyone miss. As in illustration of this point, did you see any drop off when Starks came in?

In his defense, and I don't care what running back was running yesterday, they weren't gaining any yards. The offensive line was awful.

I stand by my statement. You have seen very little drop off between RB when players other than Lacey have been asked to start. Franklin ran for 100+. Starks did it as well. Every time he gets his average above the 4 YPC mark we have people chirping.

14 games on paper but really in 12 games as he missed the one with a concussion and only had 1 carry in the game he got the concussion.

3rd behind Stacey and Bernard?

Lacy's style will just be 4 YPC grinder with 10-20 yarders sprinkled in. Him being the 4th running back drafted reflects his lack of home run style. Though his physique also allows to be an excellent pass blocker. That's important for an offensive line that's very average.
