Nope.

Just prefer that NFL teams have NFL caliber players on their teams.

He is not one.

I do not give a fuck where the man wants to put his dick.

Yeah, but you didn't make a thread about the hundreds of others who got cut.

Part of me wonders if the Rams were trying to re-energize their St. Louis-area base by picking up a gay player and then firing him.

That Rams front 7 is loaded with talent , I saw him play sparingly in couple preseason games...he's pretty good...he will get picked up by someone I believe .

All the others did not get all the media attention that Sam did.

Keep an eye out for Buffalo; they'll take anyone's cuts anywhere.

Either way he was marginal for this team. Shit blew up last week from ESPN. My team... if it is borderline then bye. Let someone else deal with that shit. The rams are not in the biz of social change like Bernsie is.

I'm pretty sure RFDC takes more pleasure in other player's/team's misfortunes than he does in the success of the players/teams he roots for.

He's better, and that's absolutely not a compliment.

Having this exact talk right now around the fire. Who is the coach/team that had the culture to pick him up and go "fuck you. He helps our team" in the presser on Monday? You don't get SEC player of the year by being bad. We know you can't separate the circus, but who can give the circus the finger and get away with it?

Hoodie and Carroll are the only 2 we can come up with.

Those two plus the Raiders and Bills, though with the Bills it would just be about a lack of any circus to give the finger to. Won't happen with our churchgoing owners.

Probably

Hoodie will not come near this guy because he is just simply not a good enough player.

I watched more of his career at Mizzou than probably anyone else on this board. Just because you win awards in college does not mean you are an NFL player. How many Heisman trophy winners have flamed out in the NFL?

I am not sure why this is so hard to grasp. Jeff Fisher seems to have grasped it.

I guess the answer is; if he were a game changer, the circus would be easier to stomach. I'm not passing judgment, just saying there are probably two handfuls of marginal players out there with Sam's ability. Right or wrong, that's the way it is. If he proves himself, he will play. I hope he catches on somewhere and develops into a solid NFL player. He won't be the first player to take that path. It's up to him now. He can sit back and say he's a victim of his sexual orientation or he can work hard to prove people wrong. We'll see which path he takes. I hope it's the latter.

The Rams did the honorable thing in drafting him since he went to Mizzou, but if you follow the entire NFL let's be honest. You could be a 4 year starter from another NFL team right now and have trouble cracking the Rams D-line rotation.

That's true. I hope that gives him the motivation to work harder and take the high road. If he's good enough, someone will give him a chance. If he takes the path of a victim, he's fucked. If he truly wants to be a trailblazer, then he needs to work hard and prove himself.

He seems to be a little bit of both. I will say that he sure as shit is better than Shea. The Bears would actually be a good place for him to come in as a 3rd down pass rush specialist. Most teams don't have the luxury of having 1 dimensional specialists though.....but if you have room for Shea then you have room for Sam.

Regardless of Sam's sexual orientation, I think we can all agree Shea sucks. Probably not in the way Sam would like him to, but he does suck.

I obviously didn't watch him in college. He looks like he can play. I'm not sure why anyone would be cheering the release. That's weird.

There's not ready for the NFL and NFL not ready for him

In this case it's not ready for NFL

And I think that's the end of it
