Not surprising that this Lovie coached Bucs team is awful.

Oh yeah, totally. Total flop in Chicago. Can't believe he lasted nine years.

He should have been canned much earlier , I can believe he lasted so long though..its the McCaskey way.

I am going to enjoy watching Lovie go 18-30 Over the next 3 years n be fired.

Yup. Colossal loser of a coach here in Chicago. Looking at his time in Chicago, I'm baffled as to why Tampa could not foresee what is likely to be a 18-30 team after three years under Lovie, who really has no accomplishments of which to speak.

Actually, it would be surprising if it was due to the coach since Lovie did a pretty good job overall in Chicago, including a SB appearance.

Da Coach got to a Super Bowl too. That doesn't mean he'd be a good hire today.

Josh was leading them to a win before a gimpy pussy wideout cost them the game.

They didn't have a timeout and their offense has been bad.

McGowan's bad throw caused Evans to be in a vulnerable position, and the safety absolutely blasted him.

The best part of his article is, the headline says no global warming, but the charts on the webpage show warming trends.

Can't say I saw this coming. I was conditioned to expect Lovie to coach good defenses that fell apart late in games, late in the season.

It's a new NFL. Teams are hiring young innovative college coaches & having success.. Why a team would hire a retread coach who is in the good old boy network like Lovie Smith is beyond me. If I'm the Buccaneers, I am all over Gus Malzahn.
Enjoy the next 4 years Tampa!

The NFL has moved on from the Cover 2. Lovie and Martz where perfect for each other..... in STL. It's a new age and new rules make the cover 2 obsolete. Lovie WILL be fired after this season is ovah.

The cover 2 is no different from standard 4-3 defenses across the league. Like other teams, pressure up front makes everything else look good. This is year one and he's got to clean up the crap left behind by Schiano. Tremendously bad loss last night but not a huge setback in the long term. They'll be fine...as a defense.

Lovie signed a 4 year $20 million contract with the Bucs. I doubt that they are willing to fire him after 1 season & pay him the $15 million for the remainder of the deal. The Bucs are really screwed because they gave Lovie complete control over personnel...& as he did in Chicago, he hired an awful offensive coordinator in Jeff Tedford. It is unbelievable that they signed Josh to a 2 year $10 million contract.
There is a lot of bad money in the Bucs shit show.

Not if he's allowed to pick and choose the talent.

56-14! Veggie. Lovie was suppose to have a nice young DEF to work with. That was why the media said they hired Lovie. To lead the talented young players they had. Lovie's cover 2 is softer then the standard 4-3's other teams play. He hasn't make proper adjustments to his style of D and the league has passed (pun intended) him by.

Probably bad money, but still only a quarter of what Cutler is being paid annually. It won't kill the Bucs to end that early if they want to.
