His stats are pedestrian. His playoff performance average -- especially those last two years. People literally just remember the image of Elway, not the reality.

Agreed. Although he was better than his numbers look.

He was exciting and a running QB at a time when almost no QB's ran.

Manning has always choked in big games, going back to Tennessee vs Florida.

He's like a different Person when the Stakes are high, I never liked him but didn't start to hate him until the NFL and Media hyped him.. He's over rated, its made me hate him. Look at his turnovers in the post season.

Eli is opposite, he's better when the stakes are raised.

My respect for Peyton is that his overall talent seemed inferior to many other guys who were faster and had stronger arms. His control of the game and knowledge of opponents' defenses was amazing. Agree that he will always be remembered for lack of playoff success. Could be worse- I loved Dan Marino, and he never won anything.
