They looked bad last night.

The only saving grace to that division is that the Raiders are there.

So this isn't even a debate any more, right? He's done. I doubt he has even enough left to Trent Dilfer his way to a title. It's a shame too, since the defense can hold up their end. His offensive line isn't doing him any favors either.

Is it him or is it Kubiak trying to force Manning to adapt to a new offense.

It's definitely him. He's as smart as ever still, but he can barely throw a football any longer. From a physical standpoint, he might be the worst starting QB in the NFL.

Edit: On the Kubiak thing, his problems predate Kubiak's arrival. He was awful for the last 8+ games last year as well.

Yea, Goober is done. He had 1 good game and a bunch of stinkers. It will be interesting to see what he does next. He could do anything...coach, owner, broadcaster, politics, business, etc.

Yup. He's a conservative and he could run and win any political office in Indiana and probably Tennessee too.

Maybe on a local level.

I don't know that defense is really good.
If they can get any semblance of a running game going, I could see them being scary in the playoffs, especially if they are at home.

Right, but eventually, he's almost certainly going to have to make a big throw or two. I think he's physically incapable of it now. Especially will be in January. I could easily see them losing a home playoff game 13-9 to the Steelers or something.

Atrocious. Currently pulling a Rex (0.0 QB rating). 5-20, 35 yds, 3 int.

Other than possibly the end of Papa John's commercials, nothing to celebrate about that.

It's amazing he lasted as long as he has. Supposedly, he still lacks feelings in some of his fingers.

Don't think it's being celebrated. It's just what it is. Kobe can barely play any longer, too. Father Time being undefeated and all that. Peyton is done. He might limp to the finish line this year, but that's it.

Until the playoffs start

Brady
Montana
Elway
Farve
Rodgers ... That's just to start, there's more.

Hard to make the case Favre is better than Peyton, especially if you are going with playoff success as your primary criteria.

Brady and Montana make sense.

The others do not, though Rodgers will pass him if he plays long enough.

If Rodgers will pass him if he plays long enough, then it makes sense for him to be on the list now. This isn't "who had the best career?" If it was, we would just post pro-football reference stats and not our opinions.

It has to be based on career. Otherwise, Josh McCown is the greatest Bears QB ever.

It's true. You can't say the greatest ever were just the greatest at a point in time. Lots of dudes were amazing at various points in time. It's the performance over time that separates good from great.

How long you play at an elite level certainly matters. If Rodgers is simply good the rest of his career then he doesn't make the list.

Not to mention that Rodgers has that whole "Fail in the playoffs a lot" thing too.

Do people remember anything about Elway other than his helicopter first down run and being the QB on super bowl champs his last two seasons?

His stats are pedestrian. His playoff performance average -- especially those last two years. People literally just remember the image of Elway, not the reality.
