I follow football in the sense that I play fantasy football and follow the Bears, loosely.

Today, to replace my on-bye Matt Ryan, I had to choose a stopgap QB. Surprised to find Mariota ahead of Winston. Is that true in "real life"? Wasn't Winston supposed to be much better?

Well, Tampa Bay and Lovie Smith thought so. But a lot of people liked Mariota better.

If Dan and Terry said it, then it must be true.

Ryan Pace liked Mariota better. He tried to trade up for him but couldn't do it. Too much of an asking price.

Not if he keeps running the ball and blocking for RB's....3 years max. he takes some bad hits now, that + longevity in the NFl for QBs dont mix.
