I have to wonder what Peyton got for making the comment after the game about drinking a bunch of Budweiser's to celebrate the win.

Did Jim Nantz really say Gary Kubiak is the first HC to have played for and coached a SB team?

Damn, the Panthers' total 21 seasons have been better than the Bears' last 21 seasons:

Panthers: 166-169-1
Bears: 159-177

Panthers: seven playoff appearances, six division championships, four NFC championship games, two Super Bowl losses
Bears: four playoff appearances, four division championships, two NFC championship games, one Super Bowl loss

The Bears can't even outperform an expansion team no one really cares about. But I repeat: 1985 existed

Did Newton ever roll out once during the game on a designed play?

He rolled out but it was by force.

That's surprising for a running QB.

Well the truth is I didn't care who won but wanted a close game. The media tried to make this a story.

HOW CAN ALL THESE BEARS FANS NOT KNOW DITKA PLAYED FOR THE BEARS?

btw- I''m with CH, the Bears have sucked my entire lifetime. 26 years of bad Bears teams, even the team that got to the Super Bowl wasn't very good.

Manning shilling Budweiser as the last thing he does on a football field is a perfect summation of his career. He never compromised who he was.

He's right, Bears have been pitiful since 94 ish.

He's wrong about the 85 Bears though. They were amazing and I'd say shaped the NFL for a good 20 years after.

I'm not shitting on the '85 Bears, I'm shitting on the 1995-2015 Bears that I've had to live with.

Where does he shit on the 85 Bears? He made some great points, and I still think he's a terrible poster.

Of course they were. No one disputes that. It's just pathetic that an expansion team was able to start up in the recent past and accomplish more from the ground up than a so-called cornerstone franchise has been able to do in the same timespan. That the Packers and Giants have been vastly superior organizations in the last twentysome years, I think people can more or less deal with. A team that not only didn't exist when the Bears won the Super Bowl but didn't exist when Erik Kramer took the Bears to the playoffs that one time? That's bad and Bears fans should feel bad. It's time to dial down on all things Bears until the team can make the playoffs as reliably as the Houston Texans.
