Far be it for me to wish JR Smith to shoot more, but if Cleveland can't find any offense outside their big 3 it's a sweep no doubt.

Gotta find ways to make Curry work on defense.

I agree. J.R. can raise up on him but he has always been a terrible ballhandler. If he isn't getting kickouts from James and Irving He isn't going to get many shots. They don't really run clear outs for him.

I will never forget when George Karl labeled his ballhandling skills as cutting grass. That was one of the funnier descriptions of it.

No such thing as old school new school when it comes to being a competitor.

You wanna talk about not competing?

Look at that clip. Steph is competing. Kyrie is not.

Steph Curry has already revealed himself to be a gutless frontrunning coward. I'm cool on his non competitiveness until he starts taking covers on top tier point guards.

He completely dominated his matchup last night, in the Finals. Not much more you can ask for. And it's because of plays like that one too, not just his shooting.

He scored 28 and Irving scored 24. Dominance?

That's a real low threshold while considering whether someone was dominant. If Irving had put up those numbers against Curry last season I don't think anyone here would have considered it dominant. A bit of confirmation bias at work. Looks like he outplayed him but by a little bit. I will be on it Sunday. Couldn't watch yesterday.

Kyrie Irving thoroughly dominated Curry last year. Curry isn't and can t guard him. Once they take Curry off him it's really over. He can go for 60 and it wouldn't matter.

Kyrie can't guard Curry either. Curry is the better player and is going to continue dominating him this year. You lose credibility when you deny things that plainly happened. We all saw the game last night. The PG matchup wasn't close.

So if Curry beats James two out of three finals and was hurt in the lost one what is the narrative?

LeBron artistically dominated with poetic grace and sizable girth by redefining postmodernism in basketball.

What's different is that they have the sense to put Thompson on him in Game 1.

Curry dominated a matchup in which he didn't guard the guy he dominated. Ok.

Kyrie Irving ended the Curry talk last year. You're whistling past the graveyard on this one.

Matchups.

Curry guarding J.R. Smith.

Irving Guarding the Gutless Curry

Thompson Guarding Irving.

J.R. guarding Thompson.

I don't know which game you were watching

Yes, it's called cross matching. Every team does it. Is this your first year watching basketball?

Apparently it's yours. Curry is dominating a non existent matchup. It is cross matching even though the cross match is only occurring from G.S's perspective. Cleveland guys are guarding their position. They are only cross matching because Curry has no shot against Irving.

No, they're cross matching because Klay is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league so it would make no sense to have curry guard Kyrie.

Over the past three years Steph has been significantly better than Irving. That is continuing so far this series. Outside of one seven game sample size you have no case here. Might be time to drop it

Huh? Curry shouldn't be expected to guard his position? He can t guard Irving thus it may be time for you to drop it. Once Curry takes J.R the debate is over. Kyrie Irving dominated him that's why Cleveland won.

Head to head is what matters and when they matchup he murders the guy. Case closed. He changed the way Curry is perceived. None of that all time great stuff now and one of the reasons that Klay hasn't played as well is because he's probably tired from chasing guys Curry's scary ass won't guard.

Yeah you're just being an idiot now. I can't tell if it's trolling or not. This isn't some macho playground bullshit. It's the NBA Finals and a lot of careers are on the line. The coaches aren't determining matchups by who will have the bigger bragging rights.

You're twisting yourself in knots trying to deny Steph played much better than Kyrie yesterday. It's embarrassing

Actually sports is based a lot on macho playground bullshit.

He outplayed him but he can t be dominating a matchup that doesn't exist. He probably will continue to play well as long as he doesn't have to guard anyone. J.R. Smith is a 4th or 5th option.

Curry would get 40 put up on him if he had to guard Irving. He is extremely happy that he doesn't. Irving is checking him. Says a lot. Irving still had 24 points against an All league type defender. As long as Curry is ducking it's stupid to discuss matchups.

I'd never say that if one guy scored 28 and the other 24. I also wouldn't say that if the guy allegedly doing the ass kicking wasn't matched up with the guy whose ads he's supposed to be kicking.

I think you're trolling but I'll indulge anyway. This one was over once They decided to hide Curry on J.R Smith.

Who cares. One guy won the championship as the face of the franchise, while the other guy made three straight lotteries or whatever as the face of the franchise. Nuff said.

Same guy got his ass dominated as the face of the franchise by a guy that has been better at the same stage every step of his career.

As it stands now Irving has as many rings as Curry.

Curry had much better players around him.

Yes with the help of an unheralded FA pickup last year Irving managed to win his first ring. He's got more lottery appearances than Curry, so he's got that going for him.

Are you all that familiar with Curry's record his first 2-3 years in the league? Not too much better than Irving's.

Curry also isn't the best player on his own team now. Face of the franchise is moot now.

Irving dominated Curry. I see that some haven't really d
Gotten over it either.
