Exactly. This smells like a staged-(social)-media event. Somehow it was already on twitter before practice ended. T-Wolves players saw it scrolling their timelines on their phones in the locker room right after practice.

Dunno who reps/advises Butler but they reduced his value with this stunt. Pat Riley gonna sign Greg Oden out of golf-retirement and offer up dude in trade for Butler.

Butler obviously planned on making a scene at practice as evidenced by Rachel Nichols already being there, but the whole thing about beating the starters with the third stringers and successfully defending Towns obviously wasn't staged. He just did that straight up, probably because he knew he'd be able to do that against the likes of Towns and Wiggins.

After reading the interview with Rachel Nichols it's clear Butler's beef with the Wolves was primarily about money. He's willing to tolerate the lack of heart from Wiggins and KAT if he has an extra $200M on the way.

Butler still clearly loves Thibodeau and despite his title Thibodeau has no influence on contracts.
