One thing I like when I see this kid play, especially the clip above, is it is almost old school. If old school was the 90's.

Why does he swat it into the stands when he could just palm the ball and get possession?

I see a lot of people making a big deal about that photo on Twitter and I guess I don’t get it. Yeah, he looks like a fit NBA player.

I think the point is Zion looks like this when he has a proper diet, and is healthy enough to throw himself into a workout routine.

He never looked bad. The stuff about him being fat was always over blown.

you don't get it? Have you not followed Zion's career over the past year and a half? It's very obvious how huge this is if you did.

It wasn't overblown. He was fat and it definitely affected his play. He was winded quite a bit. And he still dominated. He's going to be next level good with this weight loss.

Sports media is horrible, but his diet when he arrived in Louisiana was reported as not optimal.

I don’t think we’ve even seen him in “good” shape since his shoe exploded at Duke.

I remember him doing an interview while he was out and they asked him what his favorite meal in town was and he said the seafood pasta at some place. I bet it was a fettuchini alfredo type of dish as opposed to a red sauce Cioppino type of dish.

Zion today @ 5pm on ESPN.

Still on a minutes restriction.

He's looking like he hasn't seen a meal he didn't love in the last three weeks. He looked close to three bills the other night.

By all accounts he was in great shape before the bubble.

I wonder if he ate himself into 3XL when he went home for that funeral.

That's what everyone was asking yesterday. That should be a giant warning to the kid that he's growing older, with the newfound ability to tack on a lot of weight without trying. Quickly.

I am starting to think he will be a bust. Well maybe not a bust but not the difference maker he was made out to be. Its possible he could eat his way out of the league like Stanley Roberts.

Post subject:  Re: Zion: Year 1.5?

hes still has a few years of growth though... limiting food would keep his size from reaching its peak. but yea, if he doesnt watch his weight its gonna cost him hundreds of millions over the next 15 years.

I’m not gonna write him off after one minutes restricted game.

He was dominating before Rudy Gobert shut down the league.

He won't be worth the no 2 pick. That will be clear as soon as next year.

Also, by saying Gobert shut down the league, you're implying things would have proceeded as normal had he not tested positive. Bad take.

Finally getting meaningful 4th qtr minutes, and doing some things.

Needs to start making free throws tho.
