Only one who can score? He's got a pg better than Steph Curry on his team!

You didn't know. He avg about 30 in last year's finals. Curry is lucky to have a defender as good as Thompson to save his scary ass too. Apparently you seem to fallaciously think they are matched up through.

The analysis of the non existent matchup is really one of the more interesting developments too.

Apparently you aren't watching tonight's game. There's been no less than 20 possessions where Curry has been guarding Kyrie. He's also guarded JR and Jefferson depending on the lineups. I've been specifically watching this just because of this conversation.

And yeah, for the second game in a row Curry was WAY better than Kyrie. That's hurting the Cavs

You're making stuff up. Every time Curry has guarded Irving maybe 5 at most he is going right at him. They are also trying to provide help. Even Van Gundy and Jackson mentioned it. I know it's pretty common on here to simply discount what "experts" say but they actually get paid for a reason. He isn't guarding him.

That argument is over as far as I'm concerned. If Curry ever takes the assignment then I will be happy to have it again but as long as the guy guards non offensive players then it's stupid to talk about him vs Irving. It's dumb.

Yeah. But they didn't have Durant. And Curry was hurt. It's over.

That excuse only applies when Curry gets destroyed.

How much do you want to bet that I can post 10+ clips of curry guarding Kyrie 1v1 tonight? $100?

It's not an excuse. Everyone acknowledges Curry was hurt last year but I've never used it to excuse him. I admit he got outplayed last year because unlike you I don't deny or argue against objectively true things. If you were as honest as me you'd admit through two games Curry is DOMINATING the PG matchup

I don't know which game that it would be from and I'm sure it won't show guys providing help. You'd lose that bet.

I don't think this is hyperbole when I say this Golden State team is the best offensive team I've ever seen. Lebron gave everything he had the first 3qtrs and it wasn't enough. One of the 4 or 5 best players of all time went all out, and Kevin from MN even showed up. They are still getting blown out.

So do we have a deal? $100? I have the game recorded so by tomorrow afternoon I can have the .gifs uploaded. I'm getting tired of you denying stuff that is objectively happening.

Cleveland had better figure out how to slow Durant down. He is on his way to winning the MVP.

I'm not taking a dummy bet. I watched the game and saw what happened for myself. I'm good.

So now Curry guarded him because you need the narrative to work. Once again I'm good.

No, I'm saying he guarded him for at least 20 possessions because I watched the game and he guarded him at least that much. I'm willing to bet $100 I'm right. You're not. That tells anyone all they need to know.

Yup. It's impossible to argue Kyrie is better than curry without trolling.

Love can't stick him, Lebron can't stick him or he's gassed...this is a bad matchup for the cavs .. The pace is too much and too much talent.

Good god these playoffs have absolutely sucked. Don't look like the Cavs have a shot.

I am not a Curry fan, but I don't see how anyone could even remotely disagree that he is better than Kyrie. It has not even been close.

I think the playoffs have sucked but I'm willing to excuse it if the Warriors go 16-0.* That would just be some cool redemption for last year's choke.

*Again, worth noting the Spurs would be the NBA champions this year if Zaza wasn't a dirty player and took out Kawhi for the WCF

I think Durant frees Curry up a little, but yeah Steph is doing his thing in this series. Kyrie isn't playing like the stud we know he is.

I would take him over Curry in a heartbeat. Unlike this crowd I don't front run. He is out playing Irving but he doesn't have to guard Irving so the point is moot. Curry only does one thing better than Irving and that's shoot. Irving is better at every other aspect of the game.

When people talk about Better Irving destroyed the guy when they n
Matched up head to head. They aren't now and it's not because of Irving either.

If Curry is such the superior player why isn't he checking Irving?

Kyrie is good, he's not great. He's not the All NBA player Steph is(with or without Durant)

This question has already been answered 9,000 times. Just accept the fact that it's because every team in the NBA employs cross matching, particularly when the other backcourt player is an All NBA defensive player.
