They had the best record in the NBA in back to back seasons. Boozer and Taj both provided valuable roles. We all wanted Boozer to be better than he was at times but to say he was a below average player who didn't add any value to the team is just factually wrong.

The perception of him was forever shaped by the extremely overrated Tom Thibodeau. Nothing more and nothing less.

And so too was Taj Gibson's.

You made the right call. I blame veganfan for instigating this dumb discussion.

Jalen Rose > Eddie Jones.

Murray taking over in the 2nd half. Absolutely killing Mitchell. 33 points thus far in the 2nd half 42 for the game.

Had 50 last game too. A B rate or C rate star. Definitely not upper echelon.

Jazz and DM gonna get bounced by Denver ..while Tatum leads Boston to another win.

Tatum getting exposed vs the Raptors. He is NOT a superstar and he's definitely not a closer in the playoffs. He can't even get an open look vs any of the Raptor defenders tehy are sending his way. He's so bad they had to let Kemba do all the heavy lifting in the 4th and OTs because Tatum can't produce a good shot.

The hype on him is way premature.

You and FF need your head examined.. Fall in love with a buster like Lonzo and talk shit about Tatum.

Last night in a playoff game

29 points (9-21)
14 boards
9 assists

yep, 2 OT's are a great chance to pad stats.

He was terrible last night when it mattered most. 4th quarter and both OT's, he couldn't even get up a clean look. He's been bad for most of this series.

Yep. He claimed that Ball was going to be better after they were drafted and cannot simply admit that he was wrong. Kid was being double teamed for most of the game and still put up solid numbers.

Didn't play his best game and still wasn't the reason that they lost.

Kemba Walker is actually the guy being exposed if he were actually bothering to pay attention.

Yeah it was only yesterday that he was being "exposed". Even though the game he was being exposed he had a REAL triple double.

Not to mention Tatum is a good rebounder and great defender.. Mitchell can't do either.

Nope. One dimensional scorer that was played to a standstill by Jamal Murray of all people.

The new top 100 is out, Tatum higher than Mitchell. I see Fox made the top 30 while Lonzo couldn't crack the top 100.

It's almost as if there is more than one list. ESPN has Lonzo at 54. Fox at 34.

Crap list though, they have Trae at 29 when he should easily be top 20 and maybe even top 15. Just to show how crappy that list is they had Trae at 28 so he dropped a spot after a year when he finished 4th in scoring, 2nd in assists and did it all on very good efficiency. Finished top ten in voting for Most Improved. But ESPN dropped him. It's all bias against teams that didn't play in the bubble. ESPN dropped John Collins from 47 to 84 which is just ridiculous.

Sports Illustrated came out with the bottom half of their list today and it Lonzo isn't on it so he didn't make that one either. Didn't make CBS list either.

So he's 54 on one and didn't make 2 others. That's quite a discrepancy.

Is there any list other than FF that has Mitchell ahead of Tatum?

They're tied on the highest paid player list

I doubt anyone in their right mind has Mitchell over Tatum.

Since the start of last postseason, Mitchell has now played 13 playoff games and averaged 34.6 points. In the past 20 postseasons, LeBron James is the only player with a higher-scoring span.

Interesting to see him do something a lot of star players don't do these days and that is Take The Damn Cover!. He guarded Durant for most the game while still dropping 50 plus on them. Impressive.

yea dude, this is a done deal. Tatum is a nice player, but he's never going to be as good as Mitchell. Mitchell just did something that was only topped by Kareem and Wilt. That's insane. He's on a different tier than Tatum.

So it is Shakes, FF and Walt vs the rest of the world.
