CP3's under contract 2 more seasons, but it's only half guaranteed 2023-2024 and non-guaranteed the next season. So should be possible to find some franchise looking to take on a salary dump to trade CP3 to as a (sorta) expiring. I dunno if it's the new CBA rules for salary cap or what, but the Rockets are the only team with much cap space currently for 2023-2024. Maybe reunite Paul with the Rockets and he can coach up some of the Rockets young guys for a season before they cut his non-guaranteed year. Although the Harden back to Houston rumors could block that too. I guess if Harden goes back to Houston maybe CP3 takes his spot with the SIxers?


If the Suns can somehow move off of Paul and Ayton's salaries they would just get down to the non-luxury tax cap. Not sure how much over the cap teams can be going forward. But I assume this new Suns owner would look to max out the Suns salary cap and pay whatever luxury tax (a la the Clippers owner, who has to be mad pissed right about now about what he's spent for fuck all) to get some help for KD and Booker.

Seems like the Bulls have been linked to Ayton in the past. The Mavericks might be in the mix as well. There will be a number of teams who believe they can incorporate him differently offensively than what Monty was doing.
