Lakers defense is terrific. Nuggets isn't. Davis and Lebron get a nice little rest and now games get a little more spread out. Lakers have the best record since the all star break, they don't lose at home, everything seems to be pointing Lakers. Commissioner Doctor Evil likes the Lakers too.

You'd think that they would reward the final 4 teams and spread the games out a bit more. Just looked it up -- there is always just a 1 day break between games 1 through 7 of the WCF.

replay of the 2020 Bubble fakery after Celtics finish off Doc tomorrow

Could end up with 7 vs 8 (7 in standings) seed in the NBA Finals--NBA regular season doesn't matter, shorten the season

Could also end up with a number 1 seed vs a number 2 seed (with the 2 seed as home team in the Finals) --Regular season matters, you have to get a high seed to hold home court to the Finals. Nuggets slacked off at the end of the season and gave up home court to Boston/Philly/Bucks

Really entertaining first half of Boston and 76ers. Tatum playing his ass off.

Lakers had to rather see the Nuggets than the Suns. Just can't see the Lakers losing this series but again, AD gets hurt it's all over.

On the one hand the Lakers should be pleased they were close even though Denver shot it really well, on the other you can't waste a game AD plays like he actually gives a shit.

I feel like the Lakers barely beat the warriors. And I think the nuggets are a better team than both the Lakers and the warriors. Lebron needs to play out of his mind to win games anymore, and he simply can't do it every night. I expect to see him tired in game 2, because he balled his ass off tonight.

It was rebound-o-mania for the Nuggets in the first half and that was the difference. Lakers played their game in the second half but it just wasn't enough to overcome the frenzy of the first half.

Jokic is unguardable so there's no sense having Davis guard him. Good move to switch Hachimura over to him. Lakers were +10 in that configuration.

I'm hoping for a 7 gamer with Jokic averaging a triple double and Davis averaging 40.

You sure?

I don't think there is anything the Lakers can do. They simply have no answer for Jokic. It is quite satisyfing seeing a Lebron team in a position of being completely helpless against the best player in the world.

I watched the first half. It's nice to be able to point to a basketball player and say to my kid "See, you can be that one day" even if you look like you should be playing at the local YMCA.

Lakers really did need to win game one but the series isn't over. Lakers can clearly hang with the Nuggets and when they get home, beat them. I expect a full surrender in game 2 from LA and if by chance Denver has a bad night and the Lakers sneak one, then this series will go much like the last 2 for LA. Getting Murray in foul trouble is paramount for LA to have a chance.

I have no idea what's going to happen, but I'd like for no road team to win the first 6 games.

That impossible rebound and-one tip-in by Butler just a moment ago makes me think if he stayed in a Bulls uniform for the rest of his career, he would've become Chicago's 2nd favorite all-time Bull. I'm not sure how the future roster(s) would have unfolded but if they made consecutive conference finals appearances, including one finals appearance -- Derrick Rose would've been an afterthought.

Does Jason Tatum have an idiot twin brother? When he's not standing on the wing with his thumb up his ass, he's traveling. Meanwhile, J. Moneybuckets is pick sixing all over the place.

169% certain. Lebron losing game 1 of a playoff series is predictable as James Harden crapping the bed in a game 7.

Lakers switched up defensive assignments on Jokic and I don't think Nikola had a FG in the 4th.

Kinda hoping the Lakers drop game 2 as well so their series odds go from the current +200 to +500 or more.

Van Gundy very in his feelings over the idea you can’t tackle somebody mid air while trying to block a dunk.
