Quote:
Butler has expressed a desire to teammates to play in more traditional pick-and-roll and isolation sets, rather than trying to find his place in the Sixers' free-flowing offense, league sources said. In searching for answers, Butler has met privately with Brown and his coaching staff, as well as general manager Elton Brand, league sources told ESPN

Definitely sounds like the perfect fit

He did the same thing with Fred Hoiberg, and Butler got what he wanted. He's going to fuck himself out of a chance to win.

He's not as good as he thinks he is. He's a top 20 player who thinks he's a top 2 player. If he caused problems with a coach he loves then there was no doubt he would cause problems with Brown.

He’s the Antonio Brown of the NBA.

Sam Smith had him pegged years ago

Timberwolves made the right decision not to take Josh Richardson as the centerpiece to the Butler trade.

3 Teams "missing" Jimmy Butler are now a combined 8-1. Heat, Wolves, and Philly are a combined 8-1 without Mr. Buckets. Awfully interesting.

Much like Zach Lavine in that regard.

Lavine's teams have won 16, 29, 31, 27, and 22 games. And before you claim that those win totals were due to Lavine missing games, the 31 and 27 win seasons came when he missed the most games. Teams do slightly better when he plays less.

Zach's team has one win with him playing this season. Jimmy Butler's doesn't.

Weren't Philly and Minnesota supposed to fall off a cliff without Jimmy Buckets this year? What happened?

Along with Atlanta, Miami is another interesting team in the East.

They appear to be better than previously thought. Winslow might be their PG of the future. Never saw that coming.

Getting something out of Kendrick Nunn too.

They play each other tonight.

I'll be watching. They play back to back. I expect some chippiness.

If by better off you mean winning 27 and 22 after never being under .500 with him, sure.

He had a better supporting cast while with the Bulls.

Bulls made one playoffs with Jimmy Butler as their best player. As an 8th seed. Nothing to celebrate. If he were still here he'd be nothing more than a guy with an inflated ego and an even more inflated contract

So winning 27 and 22 is being in a better place than the playoffs. I’d agree trading Jimmy Butler gave them the opportunity to be in a much better place, but that didn’t happen.

They blew it. If Jimmy Butler were still part of the org they'd be in worse shape. SEE Minnesota last Season. Better talent. Better coach and they were a shitshow with him around.

Philly dissed him and they are considered by MANY to be the favorites to come out of East. By next year Miami will regret the contract.
