Got to love the way they are falling all over themselves in an effort to discredit Philly. They have been wrong every step of the way.

The Goalpost is doing the Rumba due to all the shuffling thats currently going on.

Philly has won 67% of the games in which Embiid has played this season.

Philly fans currently booing them against the Cavs. Seems like they will eke out the win. Embiid with a monster put back dunk.

The 2nd round of the Eastern Conf is going to be a war.

4/5 would have been really good if Oladipo would not have become injured.

you're not one much for debate anyway. Suits just fine.

Ok Stephen Douglas Ben Simmons is the real deal...you watch any LSU games ??? He's got no outside game...the will be in the finals....never

You probably say that about every team in the league. Bitter pill for a bitter man once someone actually screws up the theory by making it.

Might need to pump the breaks a bit on Ben Simmons HOF induction. Was just listening to Joel Meyers on NBA radio and he was openly questioning Simmons' work ethic and his love of the game of basketball. Was wondering if Simmons has been in the gym at all working out this summer. Seems to be on TMZ every night.

This isn't the first time a red flag has popped up on Ben. At LSU, the whole team turned on him and wouldn''t even pass him the ball. At the time I blamed the team, thought they were jealous of Simmons' talent, but now looking back maybe there was more to it behind the scenes. Antonio Blackney was on that team and he was one of the guys who wouldn't give the ball to Simmons.

Last year watching him play something about his personality kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Couldn't really put a finger on it, but something about him seems "off".

Now to hear this about his work ethic and love of the game I'm wondering if this guy is ever going to reach his potential or develop a reliable jumper outside 3 feet. He was a total dud in the playoff series vs Boston, think he even had 1pt in the final game (or one of the games).

So before we start calling this guy the next great one, let's pump the breaks a bit and see if he shows any improvement this year.

Bumping this post from last July.

I always have to remember that this is the guy who thinks Lonzo and Trae Young are great players.

Ben Simmons led his team on a 17 game winning streak (without Embiid) as a rookie. Trae Young as a rookie contributed to 27 wins total. or this lie

Philly will never be better than Minnesota truth or lie?

I like many over estimate Minnesota's young talent ….without Butler they didn't make the playoffs

I hope they surround him with the right pieces and coaches.

Summer League Basketball validated him as a player. College basketball didn't. Just ask Walt.

Simmons was the best college player ever

Huh? Hyperbole won't work pal. You had him as a flop based on his extremely short, non consequential college career.

He still might be a flop....he's putting up Yogi Farrell like #'s and # 2 I ain't your fuckin pal

Simmons is the key to this whole thing. Embiid is a luxury that probably won't be available most years. Starting this upcoming offseason they need to retool the roster around Simmons. They'll have some flexibility even with Embiid's contract to make some moves.

Simmons isn't as impactful as Embiid and I just provided the evidence. Of course Embiid has to play. That is not a revelation but the notion that Simmons can carry this team regardless of surrounding talent is foolish. They are 1-6 without Embiid and Simmons wasn't good enough to beat the Bulls and Sac the last 2 games. Again I say this as Simmons fan. I think it is another example of you overrating the guys that you like. You sort of jump out the water with them.

Bump.
