No spin here. He did a bad job last year. I’m glad he improved.

It does amuse me though that you picture coaches as these static figures in terms of performance, incapable of having good and bad seasons.

I cut guys slack for coaching shitty rosters. Simply having Anthony Davis who i don't think was in your list of top 5 players til 20 minutes ago has never been a recipe for anything either.

That supporting cast was shitty and they got better. That is what got better.

You had him as a "terrible" "inept" coach that was "incapable" of improvement as late as this past season.

He became a better coach as a result of winning games which is the dumbest assessment i think i've ever heard.

Brett Brown didn't become a good coach because Philly won games. He was always a good coach. He had the misfortune of coaching a shitty tanking ass team.

Not really. You just have bizarre opinions on coaching in general. Just look at this:

Coaches you think suck:

Phil Jackson
Thibs

Coaches you spend a lot of time praising:

Fred Hoiberg
Alvin Gentry

Bizarre.

Anthony Davis has always been in my top 5. He's a beast. One of the best players of our generation. It's funny you think he just became great though.

I never said that either sucked and i'm sure your lying ass won't have any problem finding the quotes. Lot of Material out there on both particularly Thibs.

What i have thought is that they are both overrated particularly Thibs.

These 2 seasons have demonstrated it perfectly.

Interesting how Thibs "defensive" genius is rarely discussed anymore. He has presided over one of the worst defenses in the league the past 2 seasons. Thats why.

You are also reduced to celebrating guys that finish 8.

Alvin Gentry's record has been better than Thibs the past 2 seasons too.

Thibs is actually what i thought he was and that is an average overrated coach.

You talked all that shit about him magically elevating teams with his greatness yet The Timberwolves were 31-51 last season.

He had to go get try hard vets just to make the playoffs. Bulls did the same shit and bashed the hell out of GarPax with your hypocritical ass.

They signed Rondo and Wade and yet it was terrible because it placed them no closer to a championship.

Thibs does the same thing and you heap enormous praise on him. He has screwed that franchise up with his dumbass moves and it won't be long before the Bulls are better. 1 year 2 years max. Book it!

Phil Jackson is definitely overrated. He should have had 12 rings by now instead of 11.

I’m not here to argue, just to wish Gentry and the Pelicans the best of luck. They’re so much fun to watch, especially Niko doing things he didn’t do/not allowed to do on the Bulls. I think Gentry is a solid coach. Players like him too. I won’t ever forget after the D’Antoni Suns era and after the weird short lived Steve Kerr - Shaq - Terry Porter season and a half experiment, Gentry took over the ‘09-‘10 team. Nobody picked them to make the playoffs after finishing 9th the season before. Many people picked Portland against them in the 1st round. Then the Suns went on to sweep the Spurs the next round. And finally, took Kobe and the Lakers to 6 games in the WCF. The whole year led by a hall of fame PG and hall of fame PF. Kind of similar with the Pelicans in these playoffs.

These were your thoughts on Anthony Davis about Davis just a year ago.

"Guy who puts up numbers yet doesn't help his team all that much". Need great guards in order to "compete". Now its all Gentry's fault.

Ok. Here was your top 5 from this year. How did i "assume" it. Ben Simmons is on the same list.

You have Davis 7. You are the one that's full of shit

Coaches that win with teams expected to win aren't anything special.

Great coaches win with teams that aren't expected to win.

If you really knew how to assess talent and not simply result chase you'd know that.

Phil Jackson got laps ran around his ass by Popovich and Larry Brown in series in which the Lakers had far superior talent.

You can ring count all you want but coaching the best talent and winning doesn't make one a great coach.

Phil is done and its stupid to argue about guys that aren't coaching anymore.

Thibs is still coaching and the results aren't good. Funny how everything has been tempered regarding him the past 2 years.

I was told that they'd be contenders in 2 years. They needed to go overtime on their home floor in order to beat an inferior team just to make the playoffs.

Alvin Gentry is a better coach than the overrated Thibs.

Keep clinging to mediocrity in order to prove a point.

I don’t know what that means. I acknowledge when good teams are good. I may root for teams in specific series or postseasons but you’ll never find me claiming a team as mine outside of the Bulls primarily and SA secondary.

So its my fault that you bandwagon jump then lie about it? Stop with this. You make a habit of saying this or that is ridiculous among other things. You are dismissive of opinions that don't quite jive with yours and finally i thought it was time to call you on the things that you say.

If you were really being honest with yourself you'd admit that you lied about saying that the Bucks were the future of the East.

The mere fact that you are trying to make it about me is really what's weak. Everything that i stated was factual.

Now you are spinning about it being the beginning of the year.

What else could it be? Future is well future.

It is kind of interesting how every forum has a sort of sub-culture.

NBA is a lot of arguing and predictions.
NFL is a lot of Homerism vs Complete negativity
Baseball is always Cub v Sox
Hockey is ???
