Do you think it is too soon to place him in the top 10?

Without thinking about it too much, yeah, I’d put him inside the top ten,

I think so too. He is a big time difference maker. That game was close and he blew it wide open in the 4th.

This against a no doubt top 5 guy in Harden and another All Star in Westbrook.

He's the Jerry West of this generation. It seems so smooth and effortless in comparison to his cohorts and counterparts.

You sure do get offended whenever someone counters an opinion of No Great Shakes don't? Uncanny how you always just seem to show up in those instances.

that's really not a crazy statement to make back in March of last year or any time prior to to the Hawks selecting Reddish. If Trae hit his ceiling and becomes a Steph Curry clone or even a lite version and is a perennial all star and the Hawks didn't most likely screw up the #10 pick and instead drafted Brandon Clarke or a Tyler Herro then it could be argued that the Hawks held their own in the draft even if Luka becomes a perennial MVP candidate and all time top 25 type player.

HOF + borderline all star/very good starter type player Vs all time great player

seems like a ridiculous reason to pass on Doncic, aren't all fathers of pro athletes some version of Marv Marinovich/Stefano Capriati/LaVar Ball. And then to draft a Duke player with a top pick? Come on now. Duke players = SEC QB's of the NBA. Fine if you're drafting a role-player like JJ Reddick or Shane Battier in the back end of the lottery--do never take a Duke player with a top 5 pick.

this whole story was already completely debunked 2 days ago. Luka's dad and Vlade are actually friends.

breaking news: Vlade Divac not petty. He's just a bad GM who blew the #2 overall pick.

yep, it's actually worse that he passed on Doncic because, in his words, "we already have Fox" as opposed to passing on him for some weird personality concern.

Phoenix is even worse since they passed on him despite being coached by the same guy who months earlier had coached Luka during his Eurobasket championship run for Slovenia.

At least Atlanta got it's own all star/franchise player out of the deal and another lottery pick, but even they appeared to have screwed that up based on the early returns on Reddish.

what else do you call a second year player who's 6th in the league in scoring and 3rd in assists? All while playing with garbage.

Projecting him out as a 30/10 guy during his prime is pretty conservative. Pretty sure that's a franchise player.

Too stupid to see that he puts up meaningless points for a team that gets blown out more often than not. If he is a franchise player then they don't have much of a franchise.

A great deal of his stellar offense comes once they are already down 20 and the backups are in.
