A bruised EGO is hard to overcome. If he leaves I hope he goes to the Knicks. That will be like the 99 rockets.

He could probably make good money of the court with Bucks.

Wade can still play. If he went to NY they would potentially have a good starting lineup.

True. But it is more likely they all get hurt then make it through an entire season.

Definitely. But if Noah, Rose, Wade, Melo, and Porzingis were all somehow healthy come playoff time, I would think they would give the Cavs trouble if they had even an adequate bench.

The Wade shit is ridiculous. There's no way he leaves the Heat. If any other team signs him it's ridiculous. There's no way he finishes healthy. The end is near.

These contracts are ridiculous. Shit players making way to much damn money. Just today: Noah, Mazgov, Conley to name a few. The NBA sure loves bad money.

And they can always get out of it down the road because fans will take the owners' side in any lockout.

Mike Conley is a really good player. He's just not worth $30 million a year. Far from a shit player.

The Rashard Lewis contract was 10 years ahead of it's time.

I think the easiest solution is to just do away with max salaries altogether. The reason you have these teams throwing money around at lower level players is because they're required to hit a certain cap number and this is a weak free agent class. If there were no max salaries, the actual stars could command their market value and you wouldn't have teams needing to overpay role players.

The added benefit of this would be that it would also make it harder for players to collude with each other for super teams. Lebron no doubt gave up money to play in Miami, but that situation becomes much more difficult if he had teams offering him far more than the max contract.

Is there a worse union than the NFL? The NBA union is terrible too. They got screwed during the last lockout.

NBA membership is 25% of NFL's.

Talking 15 players for 30 teams versus 53 players for 32 teams.

The 53 is probably higher given mid season signings.

NFL cap would be 225 million if roughly same revenue vs cap as NBA is.

Deng to the Lakers, Biyambo to the Magic and Afflalo to the Kings.

Orlando should lead the league in blocked shots this year.

This is why lockouts work on fans. Look how many great white FOOTBAW quarterbacks it takes to equal a bunch of mid-level Big Black Studs! They're not even on my fantasy team! This is a disgrace! Yikes! ESPN is the best partner this league could ask for.

There's a whole lot of truth in this.

The general public doesn't like young, rich people of color. Except for Jeremy Lin. Pat Fitzgerald has no problems whatsoever with any contract he signs.

Last few lockouts have been much more pro player than pro owner from general public.

This board and the public was probably owner. I recall having a few debates with BRick about it.

NBA lockout was pro-owner from the general public, pro-player from the diehards. NHL lockout was pro-owner from the diehards and the general public doesn't give a shit about the NHL.

Why were NHL diehards pro-owner?
