I would expect that the Bulls consider this offseason as the time to sign the bench players going into 2018-19. Next offseason would be the time to get some good players with the extra cap room.

That Jimmy Butler contract sure does look "cap friendly" now. It will be tough to deal him and get fair market value for him.

Harrison Barnes is looking more attractive for the Bulls by the day.

Yeah that contract looks great. He should have better on himself 1 more time.

Some of you are ignoring that the salary floor is 90% of the salary cap, and that many teams right now are $20M-$40M under that salary floor.

They HAVE to spend that money, and there are a limited number of free agents...let alone quality free agents.

There is no way the league should have allowed the cap to jump up this high of a percentage in a single season.

I don't think so, but Mark Schanowski sold me on him the other day.

You'll have to sign him to the max so Golden State won't match, but what else can you do? I wanted Batum and Horford but that ain't happening. If I can't get Barnes I'd be on the phone to Utah asking about Hayward.

I want no part of Parsons, Howard or Brandon Jennings.

Up in the air about Barnes. I think playing in G.S. actually hurt him. He has had to split time with Iggy and they have made him a catch and shoot 4th option on offense. Probably would be better served by a change of scenery. May be a bargain in the current market. Doesn't seem like G.S. wants him back, which would be a red flag.

They tried to spread it out over several seasons. The players union rightly rejected that.

Not a Dwight Howard fan; but if Atlanta's going to be mostly a perimeter shooting team, can't hurt to have him in the middle grabbing boards and defending the rim.

Conley has played his entire nine-year career for the Grizzlies since they selected him with the No. 4 pick of the 2007 NBA draft.

He has averaged 13.6 points, 5.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game during his career, and has never been selected to an All-Star team.

on 42% from the floor and 36% on three pointers.

Is Memphis expecting him to improve or something? Supposedly the Mavs wanted Conley too, but they could only offer 4 years/$114 mil, for whatever reason.

I think the NBA is about to implode. Like...it may not even exist in 10 years.

Oh, there's gonna be another lockout as soon as possible. NHL, too. Both leagues use the same firm, Proskauer Rose, against their respective unions, and they've decided there will always be lockouts.

In a basketball world where Evan Turner gets 4 years for $70 million, 5 years and $153 million for Mike Conley sounds fair.

Not a sport better than the NBA to be below average and get paid. Guys at the top are the ones who are relatively getting screwed.
