Adrian Wojnarowski ✔ @WojVerticalNBA
Sources on @TheVertical: So far, closest Wade has to a third-year on deal: Chicago w/ a partial guarantee. Denver, Miami offering two years.

bulls front office has a short memory... being used again by D-Wade.

rondo, wade, and jimmy... what a potential backcourt. the #4-5 seed and a 2nd round exit looking very possible.

I'd be willing to sign wade if he promises to sit out the first 60 games each season... use the final 20 games or so to get him primed for the playoffs and see what happens

Bulls had to cancel meeting with Wade because their flight got delay --- classic Bulls. Supposedly going to reschedule meeting for tomorrow unless Wade is able to leverage the proposed meeting into a new deal with a team he actually wants to play for.

I really don't get why teams let themselves be used as leverage by Wade. Second time by Bulls.

Older guys with about two good years left appear to be the best bargain in the new market.

I actually hope they sign Wade. Wade or another year of Dunleavy.

Dunleavy and Taj. Good professionals. Solid Vets. Good locker room guys. Wins you about 20-25 games. Wade had a good season last yr. Showed that he still can play. I'd give him 20 per. Hell Chandler Parsons is getting 24 per yr. Chandler Parsons. Mike Conley. Take a flyer on Wade and if doesn't pan out he is out in 2. Minimal risk.

 They are going to dump contracts, get nothing in return, an then watch him sign back with the Heat.

I'm with you. I'm not really interested in watching a terrible Bulls teams. Especially considering that it is hard to rebuild through the draft.

If it were nothing more than the dumping of contracts it would be more a win in my book. You couldn't get one of those Schwinn bikes they used to pop off as part of the Grand prize game for Dunleavy, Calderon, or Taj. They have no value.

Taj still has value but paying a 1st round pick to get rid of expiring contracts would be foolish. You only do it if Wade is coming. I don't expect much from Wade either but I know that the Bulls are more likely to be competitive with him than with Dunleavy or Calderon.

Dwayne Wade had a better season than Butler last year. No one wants Taj. Can't get more than a 2nd round pick for him if that. Wade is a good signing. He may be trying to steal, but it's not any different than what Calderon and Dunleavy would be doing. Won't be a lot of outside shooting, but the Bulls need guys that are NBA caliber players. They missed the playoffs because there were too many guys that didn't belong on NBA floors playing too many minutes on NBA floors. As much as Hoiberg bashers hate to hear this, that's the reason in my opinion.

We know what your opinion is on Hoiberg and I still believe it was wrong. He was AWFUL last season and the Bulls didn't help with his development. It had nothing to do with talent on the floor. Hopefully he's better this year. Personally I believe going young would have been better for him.

I know you will provided some ready at the switch analytics, but it really is debatable.

He made mistakes but the Bulls biggest problem wasn't Hoiberg. They lost too many games to injury. His biggest mistakes were in benching Noah and not reining in Butler.

Going young would help Hoiberg gain respect, but the Bulls would lose so many games that the vultures would be out for blood. The Bulls have complimentary young players. They don't have the sort of young guys that you want to build a team around.

Dwyane Wade was the best player on a team that made the 2nd round of the playoffs. He had a helluva year. Jimmy Butler had a good year but Wade's was better. I'm sure Wade shot a better percentage from the field with assist being equal too. Butler avg. more points. Probably 1 more per game. Wade avg less minutes. I'm doing this off the top of my head. Don't have time to crunch numbers.

Paul Millsap was the best player on a team that got into the 2nd round of the playoffs. Is he now the 8th (or better) best player in the league? Millsap better than Butler?

I watched Carmelo Anthony, a guy everyone here hates, take Jimmy Butlers ass out 3 out of 4 games. Butler is not as good as you think. If Paxson doesn't make this move they win 20 games.

I'd take Millsap before Butler. Best player on Atlanta was AL Horford. Aren't you the same guy that thinks the Bulls should acquire Michael Carter Williams? Thank god GarPax don't agree.
