No starter played fewer than 37 minutes. They tired in the 4th quarter. Stark contrast with the minutes played by Washington's starters.

Well, I'm fine with Jones playing heavy minutes as I need to see as little of Aaron brooks as possible. I guess Crawford and Dieng could have played more but neither were particularly effective
It had more to do with some really poor shot selection in the final few minutes. Towns took a ridiculous step back 3 when with like a minute left that really cost them

I mean, it's Thibs he plays his starters heavy minutes it's not exactly breaking news. Butler has already been through it and towns and Wiggins are young they can handle it , this isn't an old team

Young star players SHOULD be playing 36-40 minutes per night.

Taj Gibson isn't young. The Timberwolves wore down in the 4th quarter.

Nor is he a star player, so he doesn't fit what I am talking about.

Guys dont wear down in November in the NBA. They lost. It happens.

The Timberwolves announcers stated that they were tired. It was obvious they were tired.

I don't know of a coach that would play an entire starting 5 37 minutes or more in a regular season game.

That's not exactly something that should be viewed as some sort of badge of honor.

Nor as a mark of shame. I have no issues with healthy guys who arent injury prone playing big minutes. Play to win

We'll see where they are in March.

Called this one a few weeks ago and now it's beginning to creep into the conversation.

I didn't know Strick was on til I pulled it up on YouTube but I caught Butler's part. Don't know if he meant it but they are beginning to reference the amount of minutes being played by the starters with more frequency.

We will see where they are in March. They haven't really played a tough schedule. He is playing 7 and 8 man rotations and the bench guys aren't exceeding 15 minutes all that often.

Well, to be somewhat fair Bjelica is injured and he was logging a decent amount of minutes off the bench, i assume that will be the case when he comes back. Shabazz fell out of the rotation and I don't have an issue with that he was playing like garbage. The end of the bench is pretty brutal, I don't really want to see Aaron Brooks or Cole Aldrich

One player I would like to see play a lot more is Tyus Jones...he only played 11 minutes in the last game at LAC. I thought he played really well in the games Teague was out. He's pushes the tempo a lot more than Teague and is more of a pass first guy.

Yeah he actually is low key pushing Teague for the slot. That is if it were actually a fair fight. He should be playing 20-25 minutes a game and Dieng needs to play more.

Thibs is doing same herky jerky thing with Jones that he used to do with Butler and Luol. Jones plays well when the starter is out yet plays little once the guy returns. Doesnt even net standard backup minutes.

Yea i'd agree with Dieng seeing more minutes too although Gibson is actually playing pretty well right now
Dieng tends to drift to the outside too much.

You really love Tyus Jones. I don't see it, but I'm willing to give him more time.
