Great 2nd half. Wolves look to be cementing a top 4 seed in the West. Pretty nice January so far outside of that Nets loss. |

What's the old adage? It takes around 50 games for a team to gel? Seems like Minny is hitting their stride at game 43. |

Westbrook left for the locker rooms with 10 seconds left in the game. Kind of crappy. Just wait 30 more seconds or so. |

Remember when someone on here was certain George was better than Butler? In accordance with the CFMB Equal Opportunity Criticism Act of 2018, I also thought it was dumb when IMU said Noah wasn’t good and when shakes said Lonzo stuffed the stat sheet with 6 boards and 6 assists. I think I did that right. |

Joakim Noah has played 36 minutes this season. |

Even if they stumble into the 3rd seed because of the Spurs injuries they're still a 2nd tier team at least a year away from truly competing. |

Nas wrote: Even if they stumble into the 3rd seed because of the Spurs injuries they're still a 2nd tier team at least a year away from truly competing. ill concede it will be due to the Spurs injuries...but honestly the only teams clearly better than them in the west are Warriors and Rockets if they do finish with a 3 seed, they'll likely get Thunder/Nuggets/Blazers, and I think they can win that series with home court Then they'd likely be looking at the Rockets in the second round. If they made it that far and lost that series, I'd consider that a pretty successful year (sorry Bernstein) |

The Rockets still can't be trusted in the playoffs. Minnesota can beat them. Can't beat a healthy Spurs team though. If they get healthy they are beating everybody. |

The Spurs have an average age of 29.2. No one plays 30 MPG besides Aldridge. They already have 16 players playing 6 games or more for the franchise. Big if, them being healthy. |

But outside of Kawhi being hurt this year, it's basically going like every other Spurs season. It's obviously meaningless if Kawhi isn't 100%. If he is, that defense is gonna be scary good and him and Aldridge should have enough on the other end to carry them. |

It is really cool seeing that type of highlight though. For all the stat and eye test talk around here, it’s very clear Butler coming there changed the culture in the same way Garnett did with the Celtics. |

So, in January, the Watch Out World Wolves have: 6-2 record +12.4 point differential, which is the highest in the league Shooting 48.5% overall Turning the ball over only 11.4 times per game (they are second in the league for the year in fewest turnovers) Leading the NBA in steals (They also 'allow' the fewest steals per game for the season. Tied into not turning the ball over) League leading team PIE |
