LeBron got shit because he left his home town for a shit sports town that doesn't give a fuck about anything. Durant is trying to win a title and leaving a godforsaken bible belt city for greener pastures. he's not from oklahoma city, he doesn't owe them shit.

not even close.

Durant led a team that was up 3-1 on the Warriors, and they choked. Instead of joining them, how about commit yourself to getting better and beating them next year. He had a great opportunity to win at title with OKC.

if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. that's the new nba.

Which is exactly why he deserves as much shit as Lebron got. And let's be real, no one outside of Cleveland was really mad that he forsook Cleveland. They were mad because it seemed like a gutless move contrary to any notion of competitive balance in the NBA, which is exactly the same thing Durant's doing here. The only slight positive you can say about this is he had the tact not to create a TV special to announce his decision and subject the world to more Jim Gray.

To be honest this is a worst move than what LeBron did. LeBron realized that the Cavs as they were constructed was not going to win anything. OKC is a different situation.

Lebron's move was worse. Where do you think Durant got the idea from?

No it wasn't. LeBron got more shit for the "decision" than going to Miami. The rollout for him had a lot to do with it. This is different.

That doesn't really argue against the post you quoted.

Should get more than LeBron. I guess he gets his title.

LeBron got all his shit for doing that stupid Decision special and his actions at the Heat introduction/party of him and Bosh.

Maybe this does. LeBron James left a team that wasn't going to win anything. OKC is the most talented team in the league at the time he leaves. It's a different situation altogether.

Well, they aren't the most talented team in the league. I know you disagree but it doesn't matter what you or I think, it matters what Durant thinks.

It's a difference of degree, not kind.

Yep! Just cancel the next 4 or 5 seasons. They may not lose.

Westbrook will be the MVP next year.

Durant is leaving a team that was 1-2 minutes away from going to the finals. That's a fact not opinion. His sellout of his own team is the biggest reason that they lost. Anyone that has ever criticized James for leaving Cleveland, but gives him a pass is a hypocrite.

The Mavericks beating the Heat in 2011 was one of those times when it felt everyone in America joined together in celebration.

We seem to forget Ibaka was traded and Westbrook might be leaving for LA or NY next year.

The Ibaka trade improved the team.

 Thanks for agreeing with me that they are the same thing.

I have no idea what you're talking when you say him selling out his team is the reason they lost.

We really don't agree and if you don't think that he sold them out against G.S, then maybe you weren't really watching the games.

Huge bitch move by Durant.

He lost the Warriors series sucking at playing hero ball. Now he's joining the competition to avoid another playoff failure from his choking.

It's sad how weak NBA players are. Man up, and beat the teams that you can't get past. Lebron and KD were mentally weak and took the pussy way out. Heard one of the Score dopes say this was a great day for the NBA. It's a horrible day. You league just had another star player turns his back on his team, to take the easy path to the title.

Though the situations are similar, Durant won't get as much shit as Lebron because Durant isn't chasing the label of "greatest ever." Lebron's switch eliminated any margin for error he had in that situation.

I guess Portland was right to draft Oden.

LeBron also turned his back on his hometown (in the loosest sense of the term) team, plus he made a big hoopla about it.

While I think what Durant deserves to be slammed just as much if not more than Lebron, I'm also not looking forward to the pieces about the "Why do we hold poor Lebron to a different standard?" which have no doubt already been written and saved on Very Smart NBA Writers' hard drives.

Stephen A Smith slammed Durant on ESPN. Says it's the weakest move ever by a superstar. At least, I think that's what he said. Hard to understand him with Lebron's dick in his mouth.
