Their raw talent can be so overwhelming that it compensates for the dumbass mistakes they constantly make down the stretch.

In my basketball viewing life this is by far the most talented young team I have ever seen. I know it's subjective for everyone, but I really felt before Eddy had his heart issues those mid 2000's Bulls teams would have been scary if they held it together. Minny is at least a few steps ahead of those squads in their development.

Just ignore him Bagels. I'm convinced he thinks Thibs is a twink, and that's the underlying reason he hates him.

oh dude.

Eddy was never going to be good. That was a dude who was bored playing basketball back in hs. Bad draft pick. Guy didn't even want to play basketball IIRC. The fact that he lost the state championship and how he lost it should have been a clue.

Which is too bad because Chandler was a great pick.

Nope. If you watched those teams as much as I did they grew together, and would have been a tough out for anyone pre-Lebron peak.

Eddy was the key. His motivation was always a question, but I wholeheartedly believe his teammates had him playing motivated basketball before the heart issue.

I mean we're talking about a team with Curry, Chandler, Hinrich, Crawford, and Gordon all before the age of 25. Like I said Eddy was the key. Once he went down the team lost it's inside scoring presence, and the whole rebuild went to shit.

The reign of Alexander Haig as President had a longer lifespan tHan you as viewer. This isn't even the most talented team currently playing in the NBA. As far as all time forget about it. Shaq's Orlando team was more talented. Houston with Olajuwon and Sampson too. Don't know how far back you go but there are a number of teams more talented than this one. Even if you account for Young teams. OKC with Durant Westbrook Harden Ibaka of recent vintage too.

any chance with the troubles the Bulls are having that they fire up more trade talk with the Twolves ?

Wolves aren't going to give up Wiggins for Butler and they shouldn't. If the Bulls want Rubio or Dunn and draft picks the Wolves will have more room to absorb his contract. Especially with Pekovic contract coming off the book at the end of the month because of a forced medical retirement.

Wolves announcers have been taking backhanded shots at Thibs for the way that Towns is currently being used. For at least the last 5-6 games they have been complaining that he shoots too many 3's. They also have praised Sam Mitchell for the way he used Towns. Mitchell basically had Towns playing from the elbow down. They stated that he was a much more effective player playing this way. They also stated that they'd even provide a shot chart from last year as a way of demonstrating just what they are talking about.

They have played better lately. I think I saw they were ranked 6th defensively over the past 15 or so games

Yea the Dallas game on Sunday was a bad one, but they have been playing better overall

Dieng has had 2 absolutely sick blocks tonight

I was thinking I might actually prefer a really good block to a really good dunk

I've bashed Thibs for a number of things but have always kind of strayed away from the minutes thing. The discrepancy here is startling though. This is the sort of thing that GarPax were talking about and it has legitimacy. Really only played 7 players in this game. Dunn only plays 9 minutes. Where is the player development?

Only 2 players on the Bulls played heavy mins when Thibs was there. Those players were Deng and Butler.

I could go back and check it out but Lavine is first Wiggins was 5th and Towns was 12-15 I believe. He consistently jerks guys around with Rush being the latest. dropped 20 and helped lead them to a win. Game later DNP coaches decision. Those were the same games he'd play with Butler.

This team isn't going anywhere. Tyus Jones should be playing and so should Dunn. If nothing else to see what they can do.

Also the Bulls never had a 2 guard worthy of big minutes. I'm sure Rose played big minutes per injury and he never liked Boozer. It wasn't difficult to shorten minutes. GMS around the league thought Deng was shot towards the end and most believed Thibs was the reason

I did it for you earlier this year and provided the links. Rose played heavy mins 1 season and he won the MVP.

Rose was incapable of doing it after that. When Thibs first got with the Bulls he had the whole bench mob thing going too.

If you watch Wolves hoops it's obvious that that starters log heavy minutes.

I'm not a stickler for the minutes thing but when you only play 7 guys in a meaningless regular season game that is a problem. If a person counts Dunn and his 9 minutes that's eight. San Antonio played 11. You have 2 guys that need to play and they aren't playing

I don't doubt that he is playing his core in Minnesota heavy mins. I'm just saying that with the exception of Butler and Deng that wasn't true in Chicago.

Dunn and Tyus Jones are logging good minutes on the court together in the 4th qtr recently.
