Saw some chatter about the Bulls trying to put a package together with the #4 pick for Simmons

Can't see it. This draft might be 2000 bad.

Horford averaged 7 points a game this series. He's 34 years old and owed $81 million over the next 3 seasons.

That's why the Bulls would offer more than just the #4 pick. It'd be a package.

Sixers don't know if they're good, bad, or average. They aren't coached. None of them know what their jobs are at either end of the court.

Enter Mike D'Antoni.

Yes if the entire rest of the team is comprised of 3 point shooters.

For $28 million, Horford better be in the gym shooting a few hundred 3s a day.

D'Antoni is 69 years old. Is he a gym rat like Popovich?

Your Next Philadelphia 76er coach. Perfect spot for him to land too.

Yeah I read that too. Discussed it with Brand already and scheduled to meet with ownership later. He would be a perfect fit for them IMO. And vice versa.

They claimed it was D'Antoni's job to lose before Rivers became available. D'Antoni would be a terrible fit.

You’d have to trade Embiid, and load up on 3 point shooters if D’Antoni was going to be their coach.

They still need to find some range tho.

Philly's most gaping hole is ballhandling. They only have one playmaker (Simmons) on the entire roster. Thats why trading Fultz made little sense. They got nothing out of that deal. They also wasted 2 first round picks on basically the same player (Zaire Smith and Thybulle) Shake Milton can shoot. So can Tobias though I agree they can probably use another shooter.

Brand is going to have to reconfigure the roster. Too many wing players and too much money tied up in an aging player (Horford) that's probably best suited to be Embiid's backup at this stage of his career.
Hiring Doc is a good starting point but they are going to have to make some other moves to go along with that. They have a few assets that they can move however.

The best thing that they have going for them is that they have 2 legitimate star players by which to build around in Embiid and Simmons.

I think 3 is also the amount of three pointers Ben Simmons has made in five years. It's around that number. What a clown. He's holding everything back.

So there is pretty much no way Philly can bring Simmons back next year, right?

I mean Doc said last night he was not sure he could be a guy leading a championship team.

Also Doc Rivers might be the most overrated coach of all time.

i see ltg's point about Rivers sticking with the bench for too long in the big comeback win, but I don't see how it's his fault Embiid turned into Hands of Stone Ron Garvin (hi ltg) and Simmons just regressed exponentially each game

love the Garvin reference!

I am not that big of Rivers fan, but I dont see how this is his fault. Simmons was awful, and Embiid was not exactly stellar either. Nothing Doc can do about either of those.

Overrated as he always goes into "stacked" teams. He's really a cheerleader at best. He's not going to outscheme you like a Carlisle or Dantoni.
