This thread is long overdue.

Barring injury, this guy is going to be an All-NBA performer.

I feel far more confident saying these things than any predictive post about Lonzo Ball or Trae Young.

Doncic's game is just so advanced for a 19 year old.

MIN: 32.4
PPG: 18.0
FG%: 42.5
3pt FG: 36.9
REB: 6.8
AST: 4.4
STL: 1.1

I feel the same way.

I'm gonna pay more attention when my Vacation starts in a week.

I had like a 60% good feeling about the guy from his Euro league highlights, but he is def the real deal who doesn't back down from any moment in the NBA.

Yeah dude is amazing.

Really makes it frustrating that the Bulls were not able to get up in the top of the draft to get this guy.

Half-assed tanking is really stupid.

Born in Ljubljana as the son of former player Saša Dončić, Dončić shone as a youth player for Union Olimpija, before signing with Real Madrid at age 13 in 2012. After debuting in the senior side at age 16, the youngest in club history, he led Madrid to the 2018 EuroLeague title, winning the EuroLeague MVP and EuroLeague Final Four MVP awards at age 19. He was also named the ACB Most Valuable Player, and won back-to-back EuroLeague Rising Star and ACB Best Young Player awards. In 2018, Dončić declared for the NBA draft and joined the Dallas Mavericks in the United States

This kid blossomed early and just kept getting better. I'll tune in to watch him play.

been all in since day 1. Probably seen all of his games except a few. Guy is awesome, basically the guard version of Larry Bird. And great personality too, gonna be a mega star in this league.

His games are must watch Tv on league pass.

and fyi, Lincolnshire's Jalen Brunson has been great as a 2nd round pick.

Watched tonight's game. Just think if the Bulls lose that coin flip to Sacramento, they would have been in position to pass on this guy.

and remember, a guy like FarveFan would much rather have 10 years of Wendell Carter + the memories of that awesome win streak the Bulls had last December as opposed to 10 years of Luka Doncic.

Really puts the idiocy of the anti-tanking crowd into perspective.

Not really. Teams like the Kings have been tanking for over a decade and were still dumb enough to pass on him so that really puts the idiocy of the pro-tanking crowd into perspective.

Also, I was clear that I thought Luka was the best prospect in the class from day one.

just like you were clear that you would rather have a few wins in December as oppposed to a shot at getting him.

Yes, I prefer my team to win rather than lose. Crazy concept, I know

This is false. They were going for it when they had Boogie. They were losing not tanking. They really only started tanking once Boogie was traded. Thus its only a two year process and they are on the way up.

They passed on a guy that they really hadn't seen all that much who'd also sent out flyers that he wasn't going to play for them if drafted.

He and Ayton are atop the class. Ayton is a player also. He may turn out to be better in the long run. He doesn't have to take a backseat to Doncic.

No, I just don't care to get in to a long back and forth on it. The Kings have been awful for a decade. Not interested in semantic games, that's just one of dozens of examples of a team having many high draft picks not doing shit with them.

Ayton will not be close to the player Luka is long term. He does indeed need to take a backseat to him.

The Bulls just need to draft another power forward. Like they do every year.

No you first said they were tanking for 10 years. They weren't. Losing and tanking are 2 separate things. When they had Boogie they were "going for it" and it wasn't working. They only decided to tank when they traded Boogie. You are putting out false info. It isn't about semantics. They tried to surround him with guys that could help and it didn't work and then they decided to tank.

Quote:

That still isn't tanking. Some teams are just poorly run and happen to lose games. Some drafts are garbage and thus it makes no sense to tank. Shakes whom I agree with about very little is actually right here. Those shitty ass Bulls wins cost them a chance to get a true difference maker. Carter should be a solid player but they had a chance to draft 2-3 stars and missed.

.

No he doesn't and considering your terrible player evals I will simply agree to disagree on this one.

Bird would have pointed to the spot beforehand to let the defender know where he was gonna hit it from. Kid still has a thing or two to learn. It’ll come though.

13-8-7 at halftime like it’s nothing. Kids two years away from legal drinking age. Barring injury I can’t see someone being better than him in this draft class.

No doubt. Even Sidney Deane would wear his jersey once he learned the kid's also a hustler:
