Who would be dumb enough to take the Paul contract? Crap, just remembered GarPax are thirsty for a point guard :?

Zach Lowe was on Lebatard this morning, and off the top of his head he said he could only see maybe the Lakers and Suns considering taking on Paul’s contract.

I agree tho. Never count out the Bulls to strive for mediocrity.

It's a bad contract but it's not a terrible contract at this stage. Paul can still play. He doesn't fit that offense. Harden is essentially the point and Paul is his backup.

Paul's strength is as a mid range jump shooter and D'Antoni and Morey hate mid range Jump shots.

I actually trust Paul with the ball more than Harden too.

Paul doesn't seem like he can beat guys off the bounce anymore. That's his problem. With the right team and coach he can still have impact. Gave G.S 27 and 11 in game 6 of that series. Not too shabby.

I can see a team like Orlando maybe Phoenix doing it. A team that is a point guard away from the playoffs and doesn't really have any big contracts on the books. Paul puts a team like Phoenix in the playoffs.

I can see a team like Philly rolling the dice on him also.
I'd sooner have Chris Paul right now as opposed to Jimmy Butler.

I’d prolly take Jimmy over him, but I do agree at his age he should be in the East.

Love the guy but he's a broken down war horse.

Not a great player anymore but still a good player. I'd still probably place him top 10 at his position. That team and that system does him no favors. Definitely not worth the ticket however. They were in a bit of a bind after last season. They had to resign him in order to make run at it again. They don't have any young assets of value thus they were never going to get anything in trade. NOw they are stuck for the next 3 years I believe.

Bump! And extremely prophetic I might add.
