also this morning skip [bayless] kept on saying that oakley once said "you gotta get me and dolan in a room together. he can have his police outside the room, but put us in that room together and lock the door behind us" so maybe dolan [played it up like he] saw that quote as a threat and therefore once he heard oakley was 3 rows behind him @MSG he sent security over to make it obvious they didnt want him there (casing him out like "we're watching you") and then when he eventually was like "wtf?" they surrounded him, and once they started putting hands on him [when he was likely telling them to fuck off] that's when he started shoving them, and well like they say in english football: nobody "covered themselves in glory" on this one.

evidently dolan owns both the knicks and MSG and i'm sure if you read the fine print on a ticket they say they can get rid of you for anything, so i'm thinking that oakley was just publicly sonned via security, he was [vociferously] like "Wtf?" and when the scene got them all up next to him and he started acting out and someone put their hands on him after "it's time to go" + [the likely] "fuck you i paid for my ticket!" --- yeap, go figure there's trouble at basketball mecca, eh? maybe they should just nuke it since i hear that's what you're supposed to do with all things mecca =P

There's so much excuse-making going on right now for Oakley's actions. They're talking about it right now during the Cavs game, and the former players on the crew are treating it as though it is the fault of the Knicks that Oakley started assaulting stadium security.

The Knicks have been very unfair to Oakley.

That doesn't excuse or explain shoving security guards. Oakley was asked to leave a place he only had a limited license to occupy, he refused and stated assaulting people. The owner being an ass to him is completely irrelevant.

The owner kicking out a Knick legend is relevant. This is a players league and the Knicks have been taking a PR beating lately. This doesn't help. Oakley's actions don't matter to the players and MANY Knick fans.

So predictable. Notice how earlier I took the time to point out Oakley's limited license granting him entry into the stadium? That was for you, because I knew you'd try this.

The minute Oakley was asked to leave, his license was revoked, he had no right to be on the premises, and as such could not claim the right to meet force with force instead of first retreating. He was consciously resisting a perfectly lawful ejection of a place he did not have a right to be. His fear of harm was unreasonable.
