I don't think the Kings finish behind Phoenix, Lakers and Orlando... It's a good trade for the Kings, this draft is loaded. There will probably be 5 or 6 point guards drafted in the top 10 and a strong chance that the pick isn't protected.

They shopped him and got what they got, he's going to be a FA in 14 months..what's the alternative? Keep him and get nothing in 14 months or get even less in 10 months for a 3 month rental?.

If all that is true, they fucked up..I just think they will get a 4th or 5th overall pick and a second rounder..I'd take that deal for Jimmy Butler right now and he has an extra year of control on his deal and is no malcontent in the locker room.

Getting a 4th or 5th overall pick? That's an odd way of saying their own pick will be higher because they are a worse team now.

Sacramento will have two top 6 picks this draft, one of the best drafts in years. The alternative is keep Cousins and win 40 games and keep spinning your tires in the mud. Pax doesn't have the balls or brains to trade Jimmy, the Bulls will never win dick under that clown.

The Sixers are the reason why I am hesitant to deal Jimmy Butler. Has there been any team that purposely bottomed-out that remerged to win a title in recent memory?

Celtics won by adding to Paul Pierce. Miami by adding to Dwayne Wade. If the Bulls could have gotten Okafor, it would have been the continuation of the Chicago homecoming story with Wade. It's something to sell. I have no idea what they are doing. Other than trying to dump Niko.

That gave them Irving, but adding LeBron through free agency I think disqualifies them from what he's talking about. That's not going to happen again. I would say the closest would be the Thunder when they got Durant and Westbrook.

Right, but adding LeBron is also not going to be an option for any team bottoming out going forward. It's not a blueprint you would use like Ruffcorn was asking about.
