Yeah he really is putting work whIle guarding the 2017 version of John Salley.

He doesn't get to choose his opponents.

I wouldn't give him credit for shutting down a guy that couldn't make a shot if you left him in the gym all alone though.

Gobert averaged 14 ppg this year and he's 8 inches taller than Green

Dunks and Free throws and open layups.

McHale just stated that he has no game.

Has no game? I know you think basketball only takes place on one side of the court but Gobert is a great rebounder and defensive player, and he's fine offensively. He's not asked to do more than dunks, putbacks and free throws. Don't act like he sucks. He's a pretty good player

When someone says that a guy has no game they are referring to offense. He has absolutely no post game. Has no offensive game other than dunking. He can be effective but the way you're talking you'd think Green was shutting down the 2nd coming of Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

They don't run any plays for Gobert. Speaks volumes about his game.

Green just got postered too.

They are attacking the paint like crazy now. G.S. has no shot blocking other than Mcgee.

The Spurs are unbelievably soft. Specifically Gasol and Aldridge. They have the height advantage but are being dominated on the boards.

Spurs are going to win this by about 8-10 points. They aregetting anything they want in the paint while Houston is settling for 3's.

I think the Spurs will win but the Rockets aren't settling for threes. They are specifically trying to shoot threes and are doing a great job of making the extra pass to get good looks for them.

They shot 15 threes in the 3rd quarter alone. They have 5 guys hanging around the 3 point line. That isn't a winning formula

It's too easy to guard that. Everyone in the building knows that they are going to settle for the 3.

Spurs are daring them to drive and all they are doing is driving and kicking for 3 point shots

If you are good enough it doesn't matter if the other team knows what you are going to do. See: current Warriors, all of Shaq's teams, 90's Bulls, 80's Celtics and Lakers, etc

I'm a Popovich fan but he looks a lot worse as a coach without Duncan

He won 61 games with only one All Star on the team. I think he's doing pretty alright.

Houston looks more like Houston of Cat Mobley and Stevie Franchise era if you ask me.

Yeah but it looks like he is about to go out during 2nd round of the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row.

15 minutes ago you had them winning this game by double digits. Relax.

But even if he does, that's not an indictment of him as a coach. His team isn't very talented. It's downright bad if you remove Kawhi. He's doing a great coaching job post-Duncan

Portland did and Gasol is done. He has been done since the 2nd half of last season. Nothing more than a role player at this stage.

Revisionist history. Portland did everything in their power to keep Aldridge. He was intent on leaving.

I prefaced it by saying I'm a Popovich fan. I'm pointing out how overrated coaching tends to be. This Houston team isn't that talented either. Popovich isn't losing the series but they won 61 games and may be going down in 6.

I had them winning but they went cold.
