I can respect the guy's idea to not bow to the system and change things somehow. He probably needs some guidance to achieve that though.

Standard "not good enough so living vicariously through his kid" stuff.

That said, I hope the kid falls flat on his face just for the old man to keep making himself look like a complete moron. Honestly, Lamar Ball is a perfect fit in Trump's America. Just another blowhard.

I've done a 180 on his father. I have no issue with him not wanting to do things the way they're usually done. He has a right to be against other companies exploiting his kid.

His kid doesn't have a Nike deal or any legit shoe company because his old man is a loud mouth stupid ass clown... The only people getting exploited with these shoe deals is the children making these shitty shoes in sweatshops in Bangladesh or Hong Kong... If the old man would stfu and let his boy be his own man, life would be much easier for the Ball family.

He wants to be the one exploiting other kids.

Totally cool!

He wants his family to make the money. He may fail but his way of thinking scares companies like Nike. What happens if the next superstar decides they want to do things the Ball way? It may become a trend.

He could get a deal tomorrow if he wanted to go the traditional route.

He wants to glom off his sons hard work, he brings nothing to the table but a big mouth and zero skills.

The only deal he could get would have a clause that says your stupid ass old man isn't allowed in the building.

He'd jump all over a deal if he got offered one, he's a dime a dozen, nike, Reebok n addidas took a pass. I hope his kid blows out His acl and never earns a dime.

He's helped his kids get where they are Nike or Adidas didn't. He obviously has been successful in life at whatever he's done. Why are you okay with Nike making millions off his kids?

This says more about you my friend. The man is trying market his kids in an unconventional way. If he weren't being outrageous we wouldn't know who he was.

If talking out of your ass and trying to irritate 95% of the country is " unconventional marketing" then he's succeeded... If that genius died in a car wreck 3 years ago..his son would have a Nike deal at this very minute and other endorsement deals.

The sins of the fathers shall be visited upon the sons.

I really have no vested interest in this story, other than the pops is writing checks with his mouth that Zo will be pressured to cash on the court. Typical Stage-parent behaviour, but LaVar Ball just seems like a sociopath, like Stanley's dad in Magnolia......I don't really feel all that bad for Lonzo, but what about the other 2 sons? The mother had a stroke, I think, and is hospitalized, and LaVar is spending all his energy trying to hype $500 shoes that look like burnt baked potatoes. Priorities.............

I can't believe the level of defense of corporate earnings in this thread. Shameful! Sad!

I'm rooting for the Balls, but I don't know if Lonzo will be successful with the feminine jumper he has in the speed of the NBA

People get very angry when a black man tries to take the commission that the Jewish businessman sees as rightfully belonging to him.
